Ahhh great, this.. Along with ‘The Big Snit’, Log Drivers Waltz, and Black Fly are some of the BEST NFB shorts.

It’s definitely on my watch list. The documentary about this story (I’m sure it’s here somewhere if some kind-hearted soul will look it up for me because I’m a lazy-a**) is really something as well.

This looks worth watching. Walken portrays Percy Schmeiser vs Monsanto. With an internet release date of April 30 (so sayeth IMDB).

What a dark and extraordinary film this was. One of the best of 2018, if not THE best… A strange and marvelous work of art, from Iranian-Swedish director Ali Abbasi. Highly recommend it!💯

One of my faves… Paxton’s always so smarmy, but in this it wasn’t unpleasant. Of course, it also stars McConaughey and that debbel Boothe. The best kind of thriller, *cool n creepy.

slow and boring, 27min in and i cant stand it anymore, this is insanely stupid, its litterally a man whith a sheet over his head with holes cut out. then you watch his wife eat for 10 min while he just looks at her. i usually play movies while i study, but this isnt even good enough for that. 1/5

Anyways, I’m becoming seriously impressed with Casey Affleck. He’s come a long way from his (flakey turd) role in, ‘Good Will Hunting’. His film role choices are building a portfolio of very fine work. I think I must love him now, yes…

A similar thing happened with Bruce Willis, after he was ‘Butch’. Before ‘Pulp Fiction’, he was kinda lame IMO. But Bruce lately wtf. Hmmm, could he be having financial difficulty? One wonders…

💯IMO, this is the best vampire film, made so far. It has everything that makes vampires ‘cool’. Jim nailed it, he knew what he was doing, and he cast the right (top notch) actors.
I’m with gypsy soul, I love this film too, and will watch it again and again…

Julie Strain was only 58 when she died, this past January. She had been in the later stages of dementia, before her death. How awful… :(

First saw this when I was a kid in summer of 81. We snuck in to the drive-in to see it (R rating and we had no car). Still my (all time) favourite animation.

💯The dragons in this are fantastic… (IMO) I think this film’s depiction is the best example of what dragons (wyverns?) are supposed to be like. I love everything about this movie, the cast, plot, premise… My favourite dragon flick.🐲

Another best of 2021…

💯! Just when I thought “they’re never gonna make anything great again”, I come across this wicked little piece of work… And, it stars three of my favourite working actors ~ Peter, Rosamund and Dianne! One of the best, so far, of 2021…

💯! Okay, I admit that my initial interest in this HBO epic was the ‘dragons’!
“There be dragons here…” Of course, once I was balls deep into it, I had much respect and gratitude for the excellence in story/plot, cast/character development, and the spectacular filming locations.
I’ve never read the books that this series is adapted from, and even after watching this HBO rendition, I have no desire to…
It seems to me, that George Martin ran out of steam, in his authoring further books, once HBO got a hold of the story… ka ching $ ka ching $
The series soon caught up to, and surpassed, where George was ~ with his published GOT saga…
Nevertheless, although I was ‘wtf’ waiting to see the dragons, after every ep, the journey was a grand one. I would chant, “we need more cowbell”, I mean dragons!

Gwendoline Christie and Peter Dinklage were my favourites. Their character portrayals really stood out. Hopefully we’ll see much more of these two in future projects…

💯! Another masterpiece created by Vince Gilligan. A spin-off prequel to his “Breaking Bad”. It tells the story of how ‘slippin’ Jimmy NcGill, becomes Saul Goodman…Binge worthy, indeed!

This is a fantastic documentary… I highly recommend it!

Designed for the suburbs of the 1950s, many people missed the golden age of the drive-in, as most shutdown by the 1980s… But the drive-in theater found a new role in the summer of 2020, as a covid safe site for collective entertainment.
With most live events on pause, the drive-in movie theater became covid summer’s go-to venue…
For most people, there’s something heartwarming and affirming about seeing other humans who are all there for one thing, because they want to be entertained…

Will the lingering pandemic spur a drive-in rebirth? 😊

This is an extremely intense film…let’s call it a ‘black’ hidden gem. Probably not for most people’s taste, certainly not mainstream…but, it’s a great piece of work.
A directorial debut for Tim Roth, with stellar cast Tilda Swinton and Ray Winstone.
Brutally brilliant…

One of my all time faves! I first saw this on the late night telly when I was a kid. It’s one of those films, seen in childhood, that you never forget.
It was never released on VHS…
For years I tried to find a bootleg copy online. It was the driving force that lead me into the world of private torrent trackers, where I was able to find a digital copy from a VHS TVRip. Man was I chuffed ‘my precious’! The quality wasn’t bad either, totally watchable. I was so happy…
Then finally, (in 2014?) the DVD was released by the Warner Archive Collection… YAY!

Have no problem watching this trilogy again and again. Saw them all when they first hit the big screen at the Vue Cinema North Finchley, London… 💯👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
