I’m not the only one, read the reviews. Besides, taste is subjective and has nothing to do with intelligence.

A complete bore.

Outstanding. Unlike anything I have ever seen.

Put me to sleep.

Survival Skills (2020)
tapwater 2 points 3 years ago.

A perfect cop from a 1980’s training film slowly turns into an actual person and has to come to grips with harsh reality. A strange and unique exploration into that man’s psyche. Not for everyone, perhaps almost no one but I loved it. I look forward to what writer/director Quinn Armstrong comes up with next.

Hooooly shit that’s an excellent band, I would’ve loved to have seen a show like that 😂

I would love to see any show right about now…

Dick Wolf just keeps crankin’ them out. He’s a superstar.

tapwater 2 points 3 years ago.

He’s definitely a force of nature, I don’t think he actually does much currently other than use his name to make crazy money. No hate, he deserves it. I was in a band called ‘Wolf Dick’ and all our songs were summaries of Law & Order episodes. “You did it! You did it! She’s dead and ‘Nofrio tilted his head!”

Parasitic (2012)
alive403 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Sometimes I find a movie with a poster like this and I’m intrigued. Having no interest whatsoever in watching it, I turn to the IMDB and open the Parent’s Guide page where, among other, sex and nudity shots in the film are sometimes described.

Honestly I never expect to find anything interesting. Nor would I watch a movie solely based on how graphic the nudity is in it. But you know.

But today i found this description (direct quote from imdb.com/title/tt1704201/parentalguide):

|A woman removes her bra, exposing her large breasts. She remains topless throughout the movie.

tapwater 1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Ha! Verified and hilarious, makes me want to write some parental advice. “A former NYC governor reaches down his trousers and appears to fondle himself. No nudity.”

Fatman (2020)
tapwater 6 points 3 years ago*.

What a waste of a great premise. This movie takes itself way too seriously so all of the cheesy fun you might expect is non-existent. It’s just a very mediocre action flick. ‘Santa’ is a boring grumpy guy that keeps being referred to as fat despite the fact that he’s not. He gets shot at and he shoots back, that’s all you get. I was extremely disappointed as I was sure I would have at least a few laughs.

Bad Hair (2020)
Kid Kryptonite 1 points 3 years ago.

I think this really shows black people have evolved in horror comedies. From Scary Movie to Jordan Peele’s projects and this fun interpretation of the struggles of black hair is refreshing to watch. 80s setting was great and got song stuck in head.

tapwater 0 points 3 years ago*.

From horrible to almost tolerable, yay!! Regarding horror comedy only, I have no problem with Peele. He has nothing to do with this POS. I don’t understand why you mentioned him.

Evil Takes Root (2020)
tapwater 1 points 3 years ago*.

Either I’m having de ja vu or this is a remake or at least a story that has been told before. I knew everything before it happened, even the character’s names. Am I insane or was this actually released a few years ago under another name? Probably insane…

Tales from the Crypt (1989) S2 E8
tapwater 2 points 3 years ago.

I need some more gory comedy in my life. Anyway, Fun episode; Iggy Pop, Katey Sagal, Lee Arenberg and the Cryptkeeper. I wish there was something modern like this that was at least half as entertaining

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020)
tapwater 3 points 3 years ago.

Some hilarious moments but nowhere near the classic that the first was. I think this was made quickly and Sacha was just using the Borat format to get his point across before the election, and he did. So much of this was obviously staged and that was kind of annoying. Hey, my camera crew and I have no place to stay… WTF? At the same time those guys did seem legit but how could they be? I’d hire them for a Deliverance remake in a heartbeat. Bottom line, a must-see one time watch.

Critical Thinking (2020)
tapwater 0 points 3 years ago.

Don’t waste your time. This is ‘Rudy’ without Rudy;’Dangerous Minds’ without the dangerous cheese; ‘Searching For Bobby Fischer’ that never finds him.

All in all, a complete bore. Boo to Bill Maher for recommending this.

Vonnegut is my favorite author and this originally very short story has been retold a million times. Wiki has it wrong; it’s been done in all kinds of ways even in sitcoms and cartoons. That said, most got the gist right. This POS however varies wildly and who casted Samwise as ‘tall and handsome’ before he even had hair on his feet?

Welcome to the Blumhouse (2020) S2020 E2

Cancel this crap and bring back The Tick. I can’t believe I’m the only only person who sees how horrible this show has become.

That was gory to you? You must be leading a sheltered life.

2067 (2020)
tapwater 5 points 3 years ago*.

I don’t understand all the hatred for this movie. For a low budget (not obviously) sci-fi, it is about as good as you can get. And it is a unique take on the ‘send someone to future to save the world’ trope. With some better dialogue/acting and a more cohesive storyline, this could have been great.

The One and Only Ivan (2020)
tapwater 2 points 3 years ago.

Knowing the true story this was not very entertaining for me overall but the amazing CGI, heartstring tugs, and happy ending makes it a decent one-time view.

Robbie (2020)
tapwater 1 points 3 years ago.

I won’t give it a rating because I’ve only watched 3/4 of the first episode and I can bear no more. All I see is a crappy ripoff of Eastbound and Down. I kind of liked Rory up until now but this is shameful, it’s like he’s doing an impression of Danny McBride.

The Rook (2019)
tapwater 3 points 3 years ago.

All over the place and went nowhere. I wish it didn’t keep me interested because I regret every second I spent watching this cornucopia of pointlessness.

Weird, disturbing, freaky. I like it! However, so far I did not like the 2nd episode. Dude got on my nerves crying and whining…

tapwater 2 points 3 years ago.

Yeah, ep2 was just annoying. That guy’s face with the constant grimace was too much, I can’t believe I sat through it.

The Devil All the Time (2020)
tapwater -1 points 3 years ago*.

The worst kind of mediocre. It is full of stereotypes and tropes. This meandering mish-mash of genres is also painfully slow. Not in the good burning kind of way, but slow as in what you would call someone that is mentally handicapped, like this director must be.

Babyteeth (2020)
SnakePliscan 4 points 3 years ago.

So you didn’t find it wickedly perverse, intensely moving, bracing blast of air ?

tapwater 1 points 3 years ago*.

I wanted all of those adverbs and adjectives to wash over me and cleanse me of my obscenity but they never came. Instead I am left in a pit of despair hoping for rope of decent entertainment to pull me out.

Seriously, your username reminded me how much I love Escape From New York. Not L.A. I’m gonna watch that instead of this pretentious BS.

5/5 Fantastic pro trump, pro US film, left will hate it. one of few examples that shows us how good trump is and why he is doing what he is doing, what american is and can be great again. This film was so ahead of times. This is a must see, it will change how you see america and politics.

Great film, funny, smart, takes awhile to really get started but wow worth the wait and watch.

tapwater 1 points 3 years ago*.

You are a moron, how can a fictitious film from 20 years ago be pro Trump? I am very liberal and I love this movie, because I saw/see it as what it is; a satire and warning of things that might be possible. Warren Beatty, who also wrote and directed this, is a staunch democrat. Unfortunately, he lived to see his fears come to fruition. He is still alive at 82 and I’ll bet he can outwit you any day.

The Tax Collector (2020)
tapwater 13 points 3 years ago.

I watched this and kept thinking it will get better but it didn’t. I couldn’t understand half of the English dialogue because of the horrible sound quality, the half that I did was atrocious. Also a good portion of it was in Spanish without subs. The action scenes were terribly choreographed. Shia did well with what he was given. The director, writers, and crew are to blame for this one.

If done right, this could have turned into a fun series.

I forgot how insane this is. Watching it again it is quite prophetic. Cronenberg is a genius (I don’t use that word lightly) that saw the future. Even if you are not a fan, with this and Videodrome, how can anyone disagree? Have to mention all of the incredible actors too. Highly recommended for lovers of the bizarre and perverse.

The PG version

tapwater 1 points 3 years ago.

I haven’t been able to watch it yet but I did find it and it’s PG-13 with no alternative ending listed in the features on the back. Maybe it doesn’t have a happy ending and I just remember it that way because I love it so. I’m gonna have to compare.

Tesla (2020)

Haven’t watched this yet but for anyone who is interested ‘The Current War’ is a pretty good depiction of the Edison/Westinghouse/Tesla electricity scandal. https://www.primewire.ag/movie/245592-watch-the-current-war I’ve been waiting for a good Tesla biopic and this doesn’t look like it will be but I’m curious so I will give it a chance.

What other ending? I love this movie and own the DVD but I do not remember it having an alternate ending. I haven’t watched it in a long time but I remember it ending happily. I’m gonna have to dig out the DVD and check it out, sometime I ignore the special features.

Random Acts of Violence (2020)
tapwater 2 points 3 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

This was mediocre to me. Very pretentious, especially the ending. I kept wondering why there were all these flashbacks of a random black family. The kid turns out to be Jesse Williams. I was supposed to know that? How does someone change races as they age? WTF? I don’t get all the praise for this guy, what has he done? Some crappy shows and a needless remake of Jacob’s Ladder? If you are looking for horror, I wouldn’t call it that. It is more of a thriller with a couple of kind of gory scenes.
