Dateline NBC (1997) S2024 E9
yellow_rose1 0 points 2 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I have been following the Angie Dodd case from the beginning. This dateline episode was one of the best episodes I’ve ever watched. God bless you Cece Moore for your tireless work in solving near unsolvable cases. Many of which have been bungled. If only you could solve the murder of JonBenet Ramsay. As for Chris Tapp I was completely thrown for a loop. RIP what a tragic ending to his story. So much tragedy followed this case. Even people that were not directly involved in Angie’s murder are gone and buried. It’s as if an evil entity attached itself to her murder and unleashed damnation on all that surrounded it.

This was made 12 years before Sandy Hook. is about Sandy Hook, New Jersey body parts wash ashore at Sandy Hook. It’s a passable movie

the title of this movie is so disrespectful. Haven’t the Sandy Hook victims been through enough?

Pardon Us (1931)

Laurel and Hardy what a treat. I don’t think I’ve watched this one before. I was always at the mercy of what the t.v. networks were willing to put on for the Saturday movie Matinee. It was usually The Flying Deuces, which I have watched many times with my Dad. He was the one that introduced me to this amazing comedy duo when I was a vey young girl. My Dad can do a great impression of Stan Laurel.

I am very satisfied with this outcome. I feel for the Peoples family and hope they find peace, but probably not. It astounds me that the first jury couldn’t make up their minds and find him guilty. It was obvious to me that it was 2nd degree at the very least. RIP James People. I sure wish you were here to give the baby girl a Daddy.

Growing up watching this show, every episode had an impact on my entire family. That family and friends are everything in this world. Now in todays society there is such a huge breakdown in that mold. Whatever happened I don’t know. Nothing is a give and take anymore. My family has remained the same I only wish society has. RIP Michael Landon and thank you for bring us traditional values something our lives need so much now 50 years later.

I don’t mind character studies, but I had a hard time getting through this one. It wasn’t the acting. It was a plot that didn’t need to be as long as it was. My opinion but I believe it fell short.

I can’t believe I forgot about this movie. I used to watch it over and over when I had it on VHS. What a treat. It is one of the best Brooks movies ever, while nothing compares to Terms of Endearment but it’s close. What an amazing cast too. Just what I needed for a rainy day with not much to do. TGIF

It is so good I’ve been thinking of watching the entire series again. When I watched it for the first time my husband was still alive and we would discuss and critic every episode. I know it will trigger those memories. On the 17th of this month it will be 7 years since he past

I’m so happy the jury got it right. I think he should have been found guilty on more of the charges. However life is going to be hell for him in prison. He will have to do the entire sentence in protective custody and that is no easy time. In fact most hardened criminals go crazy after just a few weeks in there. He will never be the same man after that.

Well, I watched some of it again, and I did see the crew telling everybody to just leave her alone and let her calm down, so maybe they do care, but putting someone’s worst moment out there like that is truly exploitative.

yellow_rose1 1 points 3 months ago.

yes it is. However the family is making a whole lot of money off this. I could hear Amy saying I’m so sorry over and over again, possible out of fear that they won’t want to work with her anymore. I wish they would get her into an inpatient facility pronto

Powder (1995)

this is one of the most touching movies I’ve ever watched. It had me feel emotions I haven’t felt in a very long time. Yes this movie does it’s job for sure. To show that no matter what we look like we all long for the same things and need the same things from one another that we are not giving or even able to give when one becomes so wounded by others. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

1000-lb Sisters (2020) S5 E8
AmieWarren 1 points 3 months ago.

It pisses me off that the whole tv crew is around here all the time, yet they don’t help her because they need the drama for tv. WTAF?? To let someone become that sick, possibly suicidal, and just keep filming it should be illegal.

yellow_rose1 1 points 3 months ago.

yes I agree with you there

1000-lb Sisters (2020) S5 E8
AmieWarren 2 points 3 months ago.

They said at one time that she was bipolar? Someone asked Tammy if Amy had been taking her meds. If she’s bipolar and off her meds, that explains a lot. I worry so much for her. I have major depression, and I know what it’s like to feel like she feels. I’ve had to go to the hospital a few times to get straightened out. There is no shame in it. It’s a disease.

yellow_rose1 1 points 3 months ago.

I’m sorry to hear that you suffer from that illness, I am bipolar as well. More mania then depression but when I get depressed I become suicidal. Now if Amy is bipolar then they should know that sleep is very elusive and that she not just staying awake all night because she wants too. I wish I could reach out to help her in some way

He really loves his family, I will give him that. His laugh is annoying, but he is a sweet guy who does what it takes to take care of them. I believe he worked (maybe still does) as a manager at McDonald’s before he got a place on the show. His wife is very sweet and quiet, and obviously loves him very much. I wish she could get some treatment for her alopecia, because I’ve seen pics of her before she had it and she is very cute.

yellow_rose1 1 points 3 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

oh wow I didn’t realize she has alopecia. She is a very sweet woman. Also I think Chris’ laugh is funny. It’s more a nervous laugh I think. Also I think Amy needs a couple weeks on a mental floor, to get her medication right and she really needs a rest from the chaos. It’s no good having all that chaos when she’s that depressed.

I’ve been watching this show since it began. I just want to make a couple remarks. I love this family and if anyone knows a man out there that is just like Chris and single, let me know because I want him. I just love his sense of humor. Everything about him is what a woman would want in a man.

Poltergeist (1982)
yellow_rose1 1 points 3 months ago.

I love the beginning of this film because it reminds me of back in the day when t.v. had sign off. It would play the national anthem and the color bars would come on with the annoying bleep sound that would wake you up and remind you to turn off the t.v. I miss those days. Great movie by the way

Dallas Buyers Club (2013)
yellow_rose1 1 points 3 months ago*.

Incredible acting from Matthew, as always. He lost a ton of weight for this role. You know it’s going to be a great movie when the main actors will do anything to make the role convincing. I forget it’s just a movie. Method acting must be the toughest way to play a part. The person must become that character on and off camera for however months it takes. Amazing movie hands down one of Matthew’s best. I also should mention Jared Leto’s part in this is Kick A$$ too.

Yes I am about people, places and things but I have a deep love for nature. I grew up in the country. I was heartbroken the day my parents moved the family into town. I’m still here although I had an occasion to move back when I was married. Now that I am widowed and without a car I’m stuck here. Oh how I would love to be even 20 mins outside of town.
