Has anyone watched this? Is it worth binging?

Watched it the first time around, just binged a couple months ago. If you’re into angels and demons I think it’s a really good watch - give it a try
Good kickoff to the season, lots of stuff to investigate…jury is still out on her IMO
“Blackwater” - skips between 1973 and 1991, everyone is very intriguing, I love this
Now my top rated Nordic Noir: character-driven, moody, spiritual, self-reflective classic slow burner. If you’re a fan of the basics this is a great watch, if you are looking for a procedural that chugs along at a good pace American-style and happens to be set in Norway this will irritate you. 5/5
That beginning was really jarring for me…I both couldn’t look at her and couldn’t look away. She’s so old and starkly unattractive, I had to process my reactions to that, and it made me feel some shame. Bold casting choice.
Writing, casting and acting all very good - I instantly recognized versions of these people from my own life: complex, flawed, unpredictable, frustrated, and utterly human. The typical cultural notes are all here: Norse mythology, nationalism, church, mountains and rivers, sexism, racism, insider corruption. There are no plot surprises, but the writing and acting manage to keep things from being stale. Solid watch.
This was the first exposure for me to Czech national legend, so an interesting watch for a history nerd… Michael Caine???
How did I miss this?? Was doing a search on Mads to find his first Western and this popped up.
Seems like all of the new NN is coming out of Finland the last year or two.
That was amazing. Heartbreaking, tear-jerking, but ultimately hopeful.
I wasn’t expecting such an intense emotional reaction. Pete was just wonderful. I love him.
And yes, the platypus is a marvel of nature.
Just what I needed today - so glad I popped on and saw your comments!
Ian McShane brought me here, this brought me to Dominion, Dominion took me to Lucifer…
Worst most number of painfully dangling story lines in an unrenewed show ever. It’s like they were marched out of the room while their computers were still on.
I rarely watch dubbed shows. I will look elsewhere. The dubbing is not good at all, never is.
Sigh…the links are back up, and they’re all dubbed again. I looked around and couldn’t find a copy anywhere else that isn’t dubbed as well.
It’s Gregers from Beforeigners! Good IMDB score, this looks like a good nordic noir binge
Credit where credit is due, in the fifth episode this is finally becoming watchable (more action, less Nimue). I’m becoming fond of Arthur-as-CEO: in this episode, we see the CEO take his rival CEO out for a couple rounds of golf (spear fishing) to suss each other out and do some bonding (result, an offer of mentoring in this whole being king thing). Highlights: terrific swordfighting and all out brawling between besties in trial by combat, with a sincere cinematic attempt to portray a scene in the rain almost realistically (hey, it counts). Major side eye: ‘sumer is icumen in’ was written in Wessex sometime in the thirteenth century, even in mythology it’s hard to believe that any self-respecting Dumnonian would be caught dead singing a Saxon roundel, oopsie.
This really took off in the second season and is cruising at 50,000 feet on full speed, 5/5
I made a lil’ playlist for “The Swede”

Another one going to the watch pile…don’t pay attention to TVmaze ratings, well rated on IMDb
Had to go read IMDb reviews to see if this had cult classic potential, gave it a try, bag of nope.
Warm, funny, sad, awkward, too real, and hopeful. Very well written and acted. 10/10
Thank you TooMuchFire for posting a comment on this drama. I usually don’t want to watch tv shows that have subtitles, but I watched a few minutes of this one and decided I would watch it despite the subtitles. Looks good so far and the last season was in 2019. Here is what I found and filming could have halted due to covid….“Arctic Circle” was produced by Yellow Film & TV for Elisa, the leading Finnish streaming service. The series’s second season will be filming until March and will launch on Elisa at the end of the year. Nov 20, 2020”
The second season for Ivalo / Arctic Circle was delayed and finally dropped at the beginning of 2022.
Great story, good plot twists, fast paced, maximum cliffhanger - must have season 2!
This is similar to Fortitude and excellent! 5/5 It will be interesting to see how and whether the pandemic affects the story arc of season 2…
Have you seen this? https://www.primewire.tf/tv/1334302-katla
There’s a bunch of these on my list and all of them currently have no links. I requested all the missing episodes on this one today
Saved this one for later - glad this came up in the feed, supposed to be excellent
Peak TV before the Peak TV meme was invented. Excellent binge, never got over it when it wasn’t renewed.
