So happy to be able to watch this from the beginning now. This site is so awesome, so grateful. :) off to a great start! :D That “Come As You Are” cover was so bomb!

Vice Versa (1988)

Cute movie, but it was borderline on creepy at points.

Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992)

This is such an awesome movie. The best I’ve seen so far about invisibility. So cool! Loved it. :)

Dominic was my favorite tonight, which was surprising since he isn’t on my team, but I am certainly going to use my steal on him. Such an emotional performance. Maelyn (who is on my team) was a close second for me, fantastic song choice, love what she did with it! Celia is on my team and was honestly the biggest disappointment to me, her voice does not fit that song in the least. She could do better. Looking forward to the results! The idea of a cross-battle is so cool. :) much enjoyed!

I liked it, a one time watch more than likely, and nothing too special, but it was enjoyed. :)

Sliding Doors (1998)
SYLCollective 1 points 5 years ago.

This movie is definitely interesting. Love this kind of stuff. Really makes you think how just one small thing could change the whole course of your life.

Lame, didn’t make it even halfway through before I had to turn it off.

Really good, though I felt some of the ideas were kind of amateur, it really was a good watch.

Stupid humor, but you’ll love it if you’re into that or if it just fits the current mood. Definitely some laughs, and good fun.

The Perfect Date (2019)

I thought it was alright throughout but the towards the end it got slightly better. Pretty predictable, but I already sort of expected that.

The movie was average. I liked the ending though.

Dark (2017)
RoboPhone 3 points 5 years ago.

Sorry to hear that, SYL. My advantage was watching on Netflix with English dub.

Yes, it is complicated and multi-layered. Time travel/paradox stories can get convoluted and confusing at first. But for me at least, it did pay off by the end. Only problem was they still left some pieces of the puzzle for Season 2 to resolve.

This type of show does not meet everyone’s expectations and that’s okay. There’s so many out there to choose from. I hope your next one will hit the spot for you!

SYLCollective 1 points 5 years ago.

I also watched on Netflix, but I still leave reviews since they are lacking on here since this website started back up again. There’s lots of stuff on here that isn’t on Netflix though that I’m so grateful for. I love this type of mind-bending type of stuff, but this one just isn’t doing it for me, which I was surprised. I’m glad that it paid off for you by the end, I thought it might if I kept going, just don’t feel the desire to know what happens at this point anymore, maybe I’ll change my mind later on. :) thanks for commenting!

Dark (2017)
SYLCollective 1 points 5 years ago.

I don’t think I will continue watching this. The first episode had me intrigued, second episode was really hard for me to follow, I was bored, and I don’t get bored, and then the third one I loved the idea of it but I just didn’t like how it was executed, it’s not holding my attention anymore.

Wentworth (2013)

This show is awesome, but I liked “Prisoner : Cell Block H” better, which is the show that inspired this one, it’s an oldie but a goodie :) you can find it on YouTube.

Empire Records (1995)

cool movie. I liked it. It was amusing and fun. Would be so awesome to work at a record store. 4/5

Osmosis (2019)
SYLCollective 2 points 5 years ago.

I thought it was very good. I had a hard time understanding what was going on with some things, so after I watched the whole thing I had to look online for further explanation. I would say that it can be difficult to follow along as there’s a lot going on in this, but worth the watch. The concept is very intriguing, but found myself uncomfortable many times while viewing. I don’t think this is a technology we are ready for nor would work out if it were created in real life. There’s just too many flaws, and it takes the whole point out of the human experience. Some things technology just can’t replace.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015) S4 E16
SYLCollective 1 points 5 years ago.

Team Greg! I was leaning towards Nathaniel a little bit too but after watching this episode I am definitely for Greg. :) guess we will find out next episode which I think is the finale, going to miss this show. It was a good run.

So cool how we get to see what the characters are up to that helped OA get to the other dimension, and that ending was so trippy.

The OA (2016) S1 E8
RoboPhone 1 points 5 years ago.

Discuss it further in THIS THREAD.

SYLCollective 1 points 5 years ago*.

More like a rhetorical question, wasn’t expecting anyone to answer. I did some research after I wrote this comment, and I understand a bit better what happened, and assume everything else I don’t know will maybe be explained in Part 2.

The OA (2016)
SYLCollective 5 points 5 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

So I don’t even know what to think about what I just watched in Part 1 and debating on watching Part 2…I probably will, but I’m a bit put off by how the Part 1 ended. It just seemed like there was all this character and plot development only for it to be shattered into a million pieces, and like it was all for nothing. I don’t know whether to be upset, or intrigued enough to try to figure out what happens next in Part 2. I guess we shall see.

EDIT : I just watched Part 2 (Season 2) and the whole thing was a brilliant masterpiece, and I feel totally happy with what happened, but also excited if there is to be more! YAY! Definitely recommend this.

I am just totally mesmerized by this show. I would highly recommend. Love mind bendy stuff like this that really makes you think, feel, and experience in a way that just has no words for it.

The OA (2016) S1 E2

I think I spoke too soon with this show. I think it’s brilliant. And I can only see it getting better from here.
