Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Absolute brilliant story about TRUST in family, neighbors, people who have done you wrong the first time, or, ten thousandth time. I was a blubbering wet eyed mess throughout the film. A giggle here and there, especially ninja criminal baby Noi. Raya(RYE’eh), was a perfect blend of all the totems: Dream, Courage, Love, Hope, Humanity, Destiny, Truth. Best Disney film in a long time, no singing or dancing (a la Mulan). Nothing but pure Emotional and lovable story.

I read a comment below from a person who felt there was a lot of bullying in the film. Well, there is a lot of bullying in all Disney films, and, all other Hollywood films, too. The message Disney was, and, always has conveyed is, ‘Stand up to Bully’s. Be yourself and you will overcome and conquer your fears. And liked by those who believe in you.

I enjoyed this. Laughed, cried, and couldn’t wait for someone to finally give that narcissistic, egomania-bully a good whack or two. That post credits scene was corny.

Friends: The Reunion (TV Special 2021) (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Finally got around to watching this from my video watch list. Wow, felt so surreal seeing the set, cast, extra special appearances by supporting cast. I was laughing, crying. Some memories they shared were just emotionally memorable and I felt like I was right there watching it all over again. This is how traditional cast reunions should always be done..no special scene plot gags, or, stories. Just sitting around catching up, reminiscing. I agree, doing a reboot to bring them back for a ‘20 years later’ type of ‘where are they now’ and what are their kids experiencing, would not be productive to the history of the characters, nor would it be respectful to the way the finale episode wrapped up each characters experiences.

Well done.

Cruella (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I loved this!!! A very refreshing prequel for Cruella Devil. The cast was in sync with each other, so much chemistry. Including the dogs used. Thought I did ‘spot’(pun intended) a few out of sync dalmatian spots, thereby, figuring out they definitely used more than 3 dogs. While studying the credits, I found they used 6 dalmations, and, just as many each for the tiny pups. The plot twist, and, post credits easter egg scene leaves the story open for a sequel to this film. I’m excited to see how Pongo and Perdita bring their human’s together.

Cinderella (2021)
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Brilliant modern adaptation to a beloved fairy tale. I have enjoyed every adaptation of Cinderella ever produced. Including the film era(circa 1899 by George Meiles), The short silent film in 1911, Disney’s 2 versions:1922 seven minute laugh o gram which was reimagined and turned into the Disney 1950 classic most people know today. And there are countless more adaptations, with variations in Titles.

My eldest daughter’s favorite happens to be the 1997 remake with Brandy and Bernadette Peters, Whitney Houston, Whoopie Goldberg, and, Jason Alexander. Which if you paid close attention to the town/commoners town square set, It’s practically the same set where we see Jason Alexander belting out the town’s Castle proclamations from the 1997 version. Albeit, with a little refabricated/altered set design and props. I think the Castle interior and exterior also were similar to, if not exactly the same, as the 1997 version.

I will never tire of watching any adaptation, be it from Hollywood, Bollywood, college theater groups, high schools, elementary students, local theater troupes, Broadway, Off Broadway. This was perfectly enjoyable. Great music score, and great chemistry between the actors and actresses.

Reminiscence (2021)
moongoddess 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Now this was different. A sci fi twist on an ol’ Film Noir Genre. Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, and Kiss Me Deadly all came to mind. Nothing like Private Investigator, attempting to figure out who killed who, including his love interest. That ending, though. Great metaphor; ‘Can’t live without the one you love’.

I would not say this was Jackman’s best, but it was fantastic to see him in a Non-Comic book hero role.

The Rookie (2018) S4 E5
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This episode has made me never want to live in a garden(multi-story/high rise) apartment complex EVER! The creepers that peeptom between the walls?

SEAL Team (2017) S5 E5
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Well, this ending to this episode was a flaming blast. Must have a MOLE that’s been ‘flipped’ from the Base itself? Wonder who, hmmmmm?????

SEAL Team (2017) S5 E4
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

OMG…That very last scene when Jason has that shock surprised stare at a photograph…. then, they show the photo. It’s not only a mission to take down the terrorist cell, but to extract 1 of their former own Seal Team Officers. So that last meet between Mandy and Jason was a cover story for her???? She really didn’t leave the organization, she went deep undercover!?!! Now that’s an epic plot twist!

F9: The Fast Saga (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

These movies never get old for me. Always fresh crazy moments. The CGI, phenomenal. So many cringe-tastic moments. Looking forward to F10 and their finale installment, film F11(as I read in the film industry e-zines). Also looking forward to more sequels with the spin off Hobbs & Shaw.

Jolt (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Not the best entertaining plot. Why did they set up the last scene for a sequel? Really? Not the right type of story to warrant a sequel or even a trilogy franchise.

Respect (2021)
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

No one does Aretha better than, Aretha. Jennifer Hudson, did a phenomenal job with the singing, but the acting…was not her best.

The biopic felt ‘rushed’. No heart or soul was fully put into this film. Sure, I enjoyed the songs…After all it was ‘RE-RE’. Would love to see the directors cut(full version). I bet there’s more depth within the scenes that made the cutting room floor.

Queen Bees (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

Ellen Burstyn, James Caan, 2 seasoned and wonderful elder actress/actors have so much chemistry together. I loved the story, the ‘elder mean girl meddling’; the friendships that developed over a course of elder antics/spiteful tomfoolery, and, then complete forgiveness once all the truths were exposed. This film was delightful, tear-jerking, and, hysterically entertaining. it presents the struggles elders go through with their health, including dementia, strokes, cancers, and, giving up their houses to downsize and move into an independent living center/retirement home.

Love, can happen more than once. Elder widowers and widows can find love again. I loved the photo montage at the end of the film. It presented several different real life elder couples who found love, again.

Finding You (2021)
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Classic Vanessa Redgrave acting. She nailed the cranky, bitter, battleaxe, old lady perfectly. Expect nothing less from a seasoned actress. I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic film. The Irish countryside is gorgeous. The fiddle, ahem, violin, playing was phenomenal and entertaining. And the entire cast had so much chemisty and ease with each other.

Legacies (2018) S4 E3

Such an emotional episode and a shocking ending.

This season is gonna be explosively Feudalicious! For both generations. Can’t wait to watch the battle unfold between the families, and, the kids.

Star Trek: Prodigy (2021) S1 E1
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago.

This is awesome! Great pilot episode. Glad that Nickelodeon has taken initiative to introduce their young viewers to the Star Trek Franchise. I can’t wait to see the entire season. Great program for kids and adults.

Supergirl (2015) S6 E17
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I knew it. That last scene has solidified something I suspected since the little girl entered their lives. That child is going to be the anchor that is used by the superfriends to destroy Lex and Nyxly. No way will Lex and Nyxly destroy the superfriends. Nyxly doesn’t ‘love’ Lex, therefore, due to that 1 sided ‘love’ coming from Lex, ‘Lexly’ will lose the battle.

Coming 2 America (2021)
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was adorable. Love the female power this movie conveyed. Liked the direction the story took for King, Queen, and Bastard-Prince. Dialogue sure was not as free as the first Coming To America. The barbershop scene’s seemed rather ‘forced’. Like Eddie has lost his touch with those characters. It was a good sequel. Time to let it rest.

SEAL Team (2017) S5 E3
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

A phenomenal, and, emotional, backstory episode; a fictionalized military team member’s origin story. It paid tribute to the many youth whose future’s were shaped by this USA tragedy, as well as, the many first responders who lost their lives that fated day. Many young adults enlisted in the Armed Forces within 2 years after that day. This was not a ‘recruitment video’. It was not a memorial episode, thus, why it was not aired during week of September 11. Yet, at the very end it did pay tribute to the many lives lost at Twin Towers, Pentagon, a field in Shanksville-PA(Flight 93). I read at IMDB, the plot point was the brainstorm of former Seal Team Member, and, Executive Producer of this show.

This show also paid tribute to those lost during USA’s very first terrorist attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Making note that it, too, would not be forgotten.

Chaos Walking (2021)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Nothing like a dystopian trilogy from 2008 finally making it’s silverscreen appearance. Based on a 3 book series by Patrick Ness. The books in the series are as follows, The Knife of Never Letting Go, The Ask and The Answer, and, Monsters of Men. Wonder if the other 2 will be following this or if this will be the only adapted movie from the trilogy.

The CGI’d thought bubbles were pretty cool. The actors seemed to have great chemistry with each other. Glad I found this. Was entertaining and held my interest.

Chaos Walking (2021)

Description sounds like Vermont. I’ll pass.

moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

LMAO, what’s wrong with Vermont? It wasn’t filmed in Vermont at all. It was filmed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

‘Vermont should be beautiful this time of year, With all that snow.’(quote from White Christmas, in case you young whippersnappers don’t get the connection).

The Marksman (2021)

Another great action film. What’s not to like. Great acting, everyone. Even the kid.

Stillwater (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Supposedly, loosely based on the Amanda Knox Story. This is not a BIOPIC. No person related to the real events was consulted during development and production. There was so much criticism by the Knox family over this movie because it’s a clear fictional account. It’s a yawner. A Sunday afternoon time waster. No action packed events, not a thriller. It was a heartfelt, family struggling, slightly emo-feels, story.

Jurassic Hunt (2021)

Decent script, but had a lot of plot holes. It’s definitely not related to the Jurassic Park movie franchise. There were a few nail biter moments. Good for a 1 time watch.

That, it sure does.

The Resident (2018) S5 E5
moongoddess 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Wow, I did not expect that ending, They didn’t warp ahead too far. Makes me wonder if they plan on jumping ahead again at the end of the season, about 5 more years. I really enjoyed this episode because it featured real witches, albeit, screwing up a tea potion for a meal and going on a trip. Also, Kudo’s to the writers for their due diligence research with the story of Samhain, Pronounced Sow’n/Sow’en(Pagan/Wiccan New Year), and, the Pagan Dumb Supper(aka: Dinner with the Dead/meal held in silence). The explanation was spot on. I could not have explained it any better. Blessed and Happy Samhain to my fellow witch sisters and brothers.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Now this, is The Justice League. Thank you Jack Snyder. 100% redemption! Best EPIC film ever! RIP first crappy-version by ‘He The Director Who Shall Not Be Named’. I loved the Epilogue, too. I could see multiple subplots happening in the sequel. And moving into a Trilogy.

And that music score was awesome. 54 pieces of music during the entire 4 hours. Record breaking, definitely.

News of the World (2020)

Tom Hanks. Never a disappointment. Usually westerns put me to sleep. This one did not. It kept my attention the entire film. Definitely a must watch.

Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021) S2 E5
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I am loving Ellen Burstyn in the role of Mrs. Stabler/Gramma. Tonight’s last scene between her and Elliot made me gush. I know Chris Meloni is doing his fair share of ‘gushing and fanboying’. The woman is such a wonderful actress and it’d be such an honor to work with her. 88 years old. I hope those kids who portray the Stabler siblings know they are graced with Hollywood Royalty: A Triple Crown Award winner(Academy/Oscar-1, Emmy-2, Tony-1).

Young Sheldon (2017) S5 E2
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

As always, a comical episode filled with George and Connie dodging around the attraction connection while Memah becomes a PI. SMH.

Archenemy (2020)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago.

Not what I was expecting. I tried getting through the first hour. I had to stop watching. The acting was ok for a B movie. Perhaps I just wasn’t in the right frame of mind to be viewing this tonight. Perhaps I will try again another time.

The Wonder Years (2021) S1 E4
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

LMAO. really enjoyed this episode. The metaphor’s and ancient lingo was spot on with the comedic timing. So far the best episode. Warning, grab protection, you’re gonna need it by the end of the show(LOL).

Muppets Haunted Mansion (TV Special 2021) (2021)
moongoddess 3 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was a delight to watch. Classic Nostalgia at it’s best. New voices, on quite a few muppets. But that goes with the territory due to original Muppeteer’s passing away. Loved revisiting my childhood and revisiting the Muppets. 1 muppet ghost gave me a teary eye when I recognized the voice of the Ghost of Claude. It’s Ed Asner(rip August 2021).

Be sure to watch through the very end of the credits for the best cameo appearance ever.

Supergirl (2015) S6 E15
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

5 more episodes till end of the supergirl show. I caught a ‘finale easter egg’ in this episode. ‘Truth’ be told, it will be the end of Nyxly when Esme finally has a grasp of her powers and will reign wrath on Nyxly, bringing her to her knees.

And ahem, what was that ‘Hunger games’ scene at the end? LMAO. SMH. Or more like, who sent that gift ‘a la hunger games way’?

DC's Stargirl (2020) S2 E10
sobitthen 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

In the end, why not toss the staff in with her in case she could use it wherever she was headed…

moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Maybe the staff is what will continue to link her to this side of the universe, most likely. As long as the staff is on this side and is aware she’s in danger it will begin to heal faster. Someone on this side of universe is also going to need to be a physical anchor for the staff. I doubt it’ll be Mike, he is tinkering with S.T.R.I.P.E and I have a suspicion he’ll end up flying it since he’s been ‘repairing’ it. The anchor, I suspect, might me ‘mom’. I could be wrong. Maybe Pat controls STRIPE while Mike becomes the staff anchor? Guess we will have to wait and see during the next few episodes.

DC's Stargirl (2020) S2 E10
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago.

Another mind-blown mind-bending episode. I’m still waiting for Mike to take off flying S.T.R.I.P.E.

Will I get to see that before the season ends or not till mid season 3?

The Resident (2018) S5 E4
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Another heartbreaking episode. It looks like a start for Conrad to begin healing properly instead of ‘going down the rabbit hole’.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (2021)

This was an absolute entertaining sequel. The music score was engaging. A delightful comical movie. I couldn’t stop laughing.

Wonderful unique twist and adaptation of the classic Peter Rabbit Tale. Looking forward to watching the sequel.

The Boss Baby 2: Family Business (2021)

This was even better than the first Spirit movie. I enjoyed it. Very entertaining and emotional at times.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017)

YAY. Excited. Thanks for the ‘Stars Up’.

Star Trek: Deception (2013)
Alien 4 points 2 years ago.

Sneaky and goofy. Not bad.

moongoddess 5 points 2 years ago.

Agreed. The short plot/story was sneaky, goofy. I don’t catch many ‘FanFlicks’, though sometimes that’s how future actors/actresses, and, ‘behind the gate’ employees(vieographers, directors, producers, grips, producer assistant’s, gofers, stunt doubles, etc) gain experience and can add to their resume.

Tom & Jerry (2021)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was a great movie. At first it started out a bit slow, stale, but, it finally picked up speed and featured more T&J antics, including them getting along, even though they really never do.

I can’t believe that Tom and Jerry are now 81 years old. Antique Classic cartoon. Began in 1940. Won an Oscar for Best Cartoon(short). And have entertained many generations and will be entertaining future generations with their crazy antics.
