THE WHALEBONE BOX is a film about a whale bone box. A box made of whale bone. Entangled in a fisherman’s net and washed up on a remote beach in the Outer Hebrides. Once touched the box can change lives.
When I watched it reminded me of many episodes of Midsomer Murders.
Mark Easterbrook did seem to have a curse following him around but for the life of me I can’t remember how it ends.
Apparently, for me, it wasn’t a memorable movie although I did enjoy it.
And I love Rufus Sewell.
DOH!
I vote you up. Does feel like I have seen it before tho.
Agatha Christie,of course I will watch it❗️ What’d you think 😜
Ah Oh! Somebody cheeze done slipped off da cracker!
Great start to this season! 5/5
One of my fav epi’s! Downvote this ya rotten barturds :P
“Kipps”, based on the novel by H.G.Wells, a wonderful and hugely entertaining film. Michael Redgrave, as the lead character (who finds that money cannot buy true happiness) heads a sterling cast of British players, with Phyllis Calvert & Diana Wynyard as the two women in his life. The film was directed by Carol Reed at the Gaumont British studios in England, but was one of the films financed by Twentieth Century Fox through the deal struck when Gaumont British faced a financial crisis in 1938.

I used to watch “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau” every week on TV.
I can still hear his smooth, cartoon-ishly French accented, mesmerizing voice, leading me to beautiful discoveries under the sea.
I don’t know if a biography without the support of TSC would honor him in a way befitting his legacy. I know. Blah, blah, blah.
Although, the fact that the Merovingian plays the lead is very tempting.
That irritates me, as well, and to be honest even saying that just makes them smile :-( Not sure why your comment was marked as a spoiler though…oh wait, they do that now.
Good spy series. Bronson’s wife is in this one! 5/5 for me.
Remake of the acclaimed Cult Classic 1920 Silent horror film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, which uses green screen effects and actual footage from the 1920 film to pay homage to the original, while enhancing the story with Audio dialogue.
Watch the Trailer HERE.
After comparison to the German original, it’s hard to not relish both equally for their efforts. Judge for yourself.
Honestly, battlefield earth is a fine book - but there’s 1300 pages of it. They would’ve needed at least a trilogy to do it justice, they left out a lot of genuinely funny and cool things to fit it into a single movie. This version bombed so hard it’ll be a long time before any studio touches it again.
