For Hallmark Christmas silliness, this was surprisingly refreshing. Great for an indulgent Sunday afternoon on the couch in thick socks and jammy pants with your love.

I don’t feel like I’m watching NCIS Sydney, 3 episodes in, its Americans in Australia with the odd Ozzie thrown in, its ok watchable, same old same old, will see what happens down the line…..

It’s so shocking it definitely causes a jolt of disbelief. Personally could care less about celebrity personals, but it’s different if it’s severe.

Our problem with this isn’t that it’s a lift from The Happening, it’s that Julia is in it. This is a chick who drove her sister to suicide then had the nerve to say to her family that it had to happen & she was happy that it happened. Like Mel Gibson’s antisemitism, there’s just no coming back from that. No amount of words will make it right. Some of these celebrities have to be left behind & she’s one of them.

Well, I want to see some blood. :p

I sometimes do that when I see other people have given it a one star rating and I know there is zero chance they have actually watched it yet, just to balance things out. I usually go back after I have watched it to change my rating if need be. Folks that hold things in contempt prior to investigation are a pet peeve of mine.

For over a week I’ve read some very negative comments about this movie. I trust your judgement JadeEnigma so I shall put it on my list to watch when a better copy comes out. I like Brie in Lessons in Chemistry.

I LOVED this. Given the reviews here and elsewhere I expected it to be mediocre at best, but it was both funny and sad when it was meant to be, had a believable story that fully engaged me, and featured characters I was already invested in and became even moreso here. Having watched Ms Marvel (you HAVE to watch it!) I already knew Kamala and her family. My appreciation for them and their dynamic only grew.

Highly recommended!

Oh wow, based on the novel! The original miniseries was okay, but you know, 70’s made-for-tv and all that. This looks like it will be great!

We began watching this last night, and although only three episodes in, it has hooked us solidly. The characters are wonderfully engaging and it didn’t take long for us to invest in them fully. Perhaps when this plays out we may feel differently, and I will revisit this review if we do, but for now I will recommend this completely.

I’d vote for a platypus no matter what the contest was. President, Miss Universe. Anything.

Amazing Film! Why isn’t this on featured?

This was SO good. There’s a statue of him in Niagara Falls, Ontario that I used to pass by all the time and this film provides a much needed insight to the history I only knew in a disjointed abstract way.

Interesting thing; I rewatched the series and then went straight to the movie, yesterday, with the series still fresh in my mind. It was jarring, to be honest. It’s almost as if they’re all trying too hard to recapture who they played before and it’s not working for many. I love this movie, I really do, but I think rushing straight into it as I did from the show without a bit of time as a palette cleanser was not the best thing to do.

Unusual funny Olivia Colman (Flowers, Peep Show, Secret Invasion, etc) nudist wedding. Has Freedman & lots of others.

Oh my gosh an absolute classic, both in story and presentation. My partner has never seen it, and now I have the privilege of introducing it to her.

As long as we do not get another Connery in Brown-face I’m in :)

Begins November 21st. The delightful Juno Temple, of Ted Lasso, will be playing Dot and in addition to Hamm and Leigh, there will be Black Mirror’s David Rysdahl, Kids in the Hall vet Dave Foley, and Stranger Things’ Joe Keery.

Rather fun, it has Boom Boom Bill Mumy before Lost In Space (You’re a bad man! A very bad man!), Dawn Wells as an extra right before Gilligan’s Island, Dick’s brother Jerry Van Dyke (who turned down the role of Gilligan - for which he kicked himself over lots). He plays a non- Scruggs style banjo of Blackbird. The story is centered around a lovely Connie Stevens with a rogue Robert Conrad & also has a rosy-cheeked Stephanie Powers. It’s a cool bedroom style comedy with some dramatic elements.

As a complete aside, I love this show. This, and those like it (Mysteries At The Museum, anyone?) are all guilty pleasures in my home, especially at bedtime when I can close my eyes and just listen until nodding off.
