If this film bothers you, that’s good…it’s supposed to. If you see it as ‘sick’ or ‘disgusting’ then that’s how you see today’s society, because this is a reflection of it. We tell our kids to be successful, and it’s human nature to be accepted by others, and when our kids look at success and envy this is what they see. J Lo is always shaking her rear…..she’s stupid rich and everyone loves her. What about the Kardashian girls? Rap stars? Movies? Music Videos?
Everything the girls do in this film, they see in society. Children learn what they live. Only the French have ever been brave enough to show real life in cinema.
Some people can’t see young girls dressed a certain way or dancing a certain way without them thinking it’s sexual. I am not one of these people. The only thing bad about this movie is the story and some of the acting. 5/10

So much controversy and people hating on this movie, and I totally get it, but after watching it, it is utterly clear to me that this story is a fight against the exact thing everyone thinks this movie stands for. It is meant to shock on purpose, I would say almost to wake people/PARENTS up. This is the generation of over sexualized celebrities, and in turn the kids who idolize these over sexualized famous people. I think most parents would be surprised to know that there isn’t much left to the imagination anymore and there isn’t much a child doesn’t know. The way to wake people up is to shock and this movie did shock. But it did have a purpose. So instead of saying I refuse to watch because other random people who have not watched it, say it’s this or that. Watch it yourself, and if you have half a brain you will clearly see the director is against the over sexualization of young girls in society and celebrity.

I did hospice care for about 8 years, and i’d say about 75% of the people i watched die called out to dead loved ones while they were near death. And many people who work in nursing homes and hospitals say the same thing. Some like to say it’s a hallucination from the morphine, but i ‘sampled’ my fair share of that morphine and i never saw a damn thing. And i doubt everyone would hallucinate the same things. So who knows what’s to come, but i know there is something freaky with death.

I normally like Jamie Foxx but i thought this was horrible. He was trying desperate to be funny, Levitt didn’t fit the part, the story was bad, the acting was bad and the whole thing was very cliche, including the ‘slow fan in the background with smoke’ scene. I couldn’t believe they actually did that. This was almost closer to an action movie spoof. 2/10

Electoral college is excellent as not a couple of populated states have all the say yet all states and people do. Our founders were very smart.

We are not a democracy; we are a Constitutional Republic composed of 50 separate sovereign states and DC, plus our territories which have no say in electing a president.

The fifty states and the District of Columbia have electors who cast the allotted votes of the state they represent when electing a President. It’s important to vote because the winner of the popular vote in each separate states lets the Electors know how they should cast their votes.

We vote as a democracy when we vote for our state government officials and for the federal members of Congress from our state. We vote as a Representative Republic when we vote for President. We do NOT elect our president; the President is elected by the states. We vote in each state for President & in 48 states the winner gets all the Electoral votes in that state. Only two states, Maine & Nebraska, give the winner in their state the two electoral votes based on their two Senators & one vote for each Congressional District goes to the winner of that district. Maine has two Districts & Nebraska has three so it’s possible for the state loser of the election in that state to get one vote from a less populated district. As far as people crying that the vote of a citizen of CA does not have as much weight as the vote of a citizen of WY, the vote of a person who is a citizen of California has nothing to do with the vote of a person who is a citizen of Wyoming. Each of their votes is only supposed to be equal within their respective states.
