I was so happy and excited when I read the description for this film! I was really looking forward to watching but it turned out to be a big let down :( What a disappointment! For a storyline that could’ve been really exciting and suspenseful in such an amazing setting with breathtaking scenery, it was actually a bit boring and not a lot happened. They could’ve done so much more plot wise and taken advantage of the landscape to give viewers a real treat but they really missed out on making a fantastic film. It was nothing special unfortunately but OK for a one time watch :( Without giving anything of the storyline away - I’d have liked to have seen more animals (you’ll see what I mean) :(

|I’m not sure what happened to my review as it’s not on here…?
I had to come back and say this show was definitely worth watching and I’m glad I did despite the negative reviews. I think Queen Latifah did a great job and the story lines improved every episode. I can’t believe we are already at the final episode of the season :( I really hope we get to see Season 2! My only negative comment is that the episodes are too short. An hour is perfect to get as much action and twists and turns in - sometimes it feels a bit rushed when they could’ve gone into more detail to add more suspense/drama.
we’ll have to agree to disagree, I never found woodward to be believeable as a tough guy although I did enjoy the original series . Denzel was far more beliveable and the action scenes brilliant , yes it wasnt a true remake more a re-imagining for the modern day , its scored a 76% audience rating on rotten tomatoes and everyone I know who watched it loved it , different strokes for different folks I guess
I think it was never about The Equalizer being a tough guy. Woodward for me was more about being smart, cunning and having the confidence and skills to know what he had to do - rather than being a tough guy. I think he had great vulnerability too showed we was still human and like all humans had his flaws. Like a lot of people on here, I’m not saying Denzel was bad just that I didn’t see it as The Equalizer but instead just another action adventure film with him in it. As you said, we’ll have to agree to disagree :)
I found this show when I was looking for my James Spader fix to replace my binge watching of The Blacklist when I’d taken all that I could of the Elizabeth Keen character. I loved his Raymond Reddington character and enjoyed every minute of the episodes I’d watched and desperately wanted to find something else of his to watch that I had missed the first time around - enter BOSTON LEGAL!
I never thought I’d say it but I love it even more than The Blacklist. It’s so cleverly written, so funny, so interesting and entertianing to watch. And now that I’m already on Season 3 (as I’ve only been watching this show) I thought it was time to leave a comment.
William Shatner and James Spader are utterly brilliant in this show :) :) I could watch just the two of them all day long!!! They are so funny, so larger than life and their onscreen relationship is so adorable, plus the storyline never dissapoints - every episode is wonderful entertainment and you never know what is going to happen next!
I’m sorry I didn’t know about this show when it first came out :( I wish they had made more Seasons than they actually did as it’s such a fantastic concept with endless storyline possibilities - such a shame! :( I think the show was around at a time when shows being renewed for over 3-4 Seasons was unheard of. If it had been out now I’m sure they would be doing Season 12-14 at least!
Found this by accident and was surprised it turned out to be a good watch.
Jennifer Garner is amazing and she had such great chemistry with funny man Steve. I’d recommend it for some good old escapism.
They could’ve made No.2 with the same storyline and more mishaps - shame they didn’t.
This show is hilarious! I almost did not watch it because of the comments, which are usually a good indicator whether a show is good or not, but this time they missed the mark with their opinions. Funny, quirky, and well written. I honestly do not understand the hate which this show seems to generate here, Ignore them. Heck, ignore me. I give it a solid 9 out of 10. But you watch it, give it a try and see for yourself.
I was a bit disappointed when I watched the first episode because it was such a great idea I guess I expected too much of the storyline and the Autistic component… But this show is a slow burner so you need to watch 4-5 episodes to get into the character’s lives and start to enjoy it. Looking forward to see where this goes :)
I hate it when the idea is really good but the execution is terrible :( I was soooo disappointed with this film. It’s like they didn’t even care how it turned out. You have a film about superheroes and super villains and you hardly see them do anything (except Laser) and we had to wait until the end of the film to actually see the ‘superheroes’ in action…
I didn’t actually think it was funny at all. Ms McCarthy being silly is NOT funny :(
If it wasn’t for Jason I wouldn’t have even considered watching this. He’s brilliant but even he couldn’t save this film. He kept me watching till the end though - but it was still really hard to sit through I had to fight the urge to turn it off all the way…
I guess when you have more money than sense you can produce a film just to get Jason to take on a role. Shame his standards have dropped so much!
Thanks so much for the links :)
Great cliffhanger to end the first season - roll on season 2! :)
I see where you’re coming from , I guess I just wanted him to be tougher
I’ve learned the hard way (on here) NOT to pay any attention to comments and just watch the shows or movies myself and then decide.
As a Brit who has watched Miranda (not by choice) I think they shouldn’t have used her show format at all. If they had just put together a ‘normal’ comedy about a cat loving single 30 something it would’ve been a lot better.
The parts of the show I didn’t like were the bits taken from Miranda - bursting into song for no reason; the silly waving from all the cast at the end, for example.
But putting all the Miranda stuff aside, this was a much better show. I liked it and enjoyed watching. It’s a feel good show and the cats are adorable! Unlike Miranda, the characters are also likeable and relatable and the storyline is much better too.
I think Mayim got better in the role as the episodes went on and I think she did a good job. She should make it her own and not try to be another version of Miranda - that would no doubt improve the show.
Production should also stay away from the episodic storylines regurgitated from Miranda and just come up with their own fresh ideas.
Anyone sitting on the fence should give this show a chance. It’s worth watching to get to know the characters and see where they go - which is what makes a good show in the first place. Looking forward to season 2!
Looking forward to Season 2!
It’s been a really good start to the series and I can’t wait for the next season :)
Not sure I want to watch this after reading the comments but for the record they messed up this reboot when Denzel Washington tried to play The Equalizer. They should’ve just rebranded it and given it another title as it wasn’t what we know as The Equalizer - just another action movie badly done, so God knows what this one turned out like…?
I tried waiting for a Second Season before starting to watch this (so I wouldn’t have to wait a week for an episode) but I’ve literally watched EVERYTHING else so couldn’t wait any longer. This is such a great idea - funny it hasn’t been thought of before??? Mixing fashion with Paris and a young, enthusiastic, passionate social media genius. I love Lily Collins’ portrayal of the main character - she has guts and integrity and is fearless when it comes to being herself. She could have so easily been a bimbo with great fashion sense. But she’s smart, engaging and a great role moodel. I’ve only seen the first two episodes but just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying the show. It looks amazing (Paris for beginners) and promises to be an enjoyable, breath of fresh air :)
I’m currently watching “Blacklist” only on Season 2 but I saw this and thought I’d have a look at what it’s about… I see from the description that the Tom Keen character (Agent Keen’s husband) is in this. It’s very unfortunate because I found him to be so unlikeable I couldn’t wait for him to be killed off in Blacklist or at least written out… :( So looks like I won’t be watching this spinoff - shame! :(
I can’t believe I fell for the good comments on here!?! This was a boring film - very slow and not at all as described with only two twists that were very obvious and you knew they were coming from the start :( This storyline could’ve made for a very suspenseful, edge of your seat thriller but it kinda fizzled out and disappointed with the lack of any decent or interesting developments in the story and a very underwhelming reason for Simon Pegg’s captivity.
I’ve worked with Simon and know how much he loves himself so it seems like he took this opportunity to play a bad guy (with an American accent) to add another feather to his cap - shame he didn’t really have time (timeline wise) to show us what he could really do with the role… He hardly came across as creepy or scary - typical film where nothing happens until the last 10-15 minutes! And poor Lily who was (by no fault of her own) completely mis-cast as a mother and DA and an older sibling when she looks like a teenager :( It seems like a lot was missed out or just not added to the final cut which is very annoying - like they just didn’t care what was left on the cutting room floor… :(
Knowing how clueless Netflix is about what viewers like and watch - don’t be surprised if they don’t renew this show. They have a lot of one season wonders! If only they’d give shows a chance. I’m sick of enjoying a show and watching the last episode set up for an even better second season only to find out it’s been cancelled :(
The links are all mixed up - but you don’t know that until it’s too late :(
Just watched the very last episode when I was only half way through Season 7 so that’s really p* me off and ruined the series for me completely! No point watching the rest now… And God knows how many episodes were missed and watched out of sequence due to these mixed up links????
As a huge fan of the book, I would love to see a series based on it exactly (or a close as possible). With the freedom of ‘time’ you get with a series, I’m sure it would turn out really good and they would be able to delve into the storyline in a way to keep the audience interested. I think I’m going to read the book again it’s been years since we were made to read it as part of our English Literature class :)
What a hilarious film! Well worth watching - so enjoyable! Highly recommend to all
FYI if you’re watching 4-8 minute clips/episodes then you have a different show with the same name. Some of the links have another two or three different shows???? Not sure why? One wasn’t even called “The Stranger” so can’t understand why they put the links here???
I can’t believe we waited all these years and all they did was film them sitting around and chatting :( :( If this was ALL they were ever going to do, why did they wait so long to do it? Making everyone assume it was going to be a movie catching up with the characters we know and love at their current time in life… What a disappointment!
I was a bit skeptical about watching this series because I hadn’t heard about it for some reason??? But seeing that it had so many seasons I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve watched the first 4 episodes and I’m really surprised to say that I have a new found respect for James Spader. He is utterly brilliant! He’s an actor that was never really on my radar but I’m so glad I found this show - lots of seasons to binge watch :) I agree with some of the comments about the Elizabeth Keen character being a bit too much - but thanks to James’ larger than life performance, it’s a bit easier to not allow her to ruin my enjoyment :)
I was hyped to watch this but disappointed after watching. I expected way more. 6/10
Me too! My thoughts exactly. I watched this expecting a decent standard but it was very disappointing especially considering it was based on a book. There seemed to be more focus on getting the action scenes right in other words all the shooting (not really what I call action) :( The casting was very weak and the roles that should’ve really jumped out at us and made the film more interesting were very bland and boring. It could’ve been a much better film with decent actors and more content other than the long drawn out scenes with constant gun fire. And casting Guy Pearce just made it worse because it ruined any suspense about who the bad guy could be :(
Impossible trying to watch this series :(
The only links either freeze every 10 seconds or they bombard you with constant porno pop ups so you can’t watch anything at all :( ARAPAT.CAM being the link in question. This person/company should be banned from putting links up on Primewire - it’s ridiculous and disgusting! Let’s see how they like being blacklisted - who’ll watch their disgusting pop ups then????
Any comments? Is this worth watching? Not that keen on Aussie series….
I’m a massive Harlan Coben fan and have read all of his books. I’m a bit worried about watching the TV/film versions as they most often than not don’t turn out as good as the books. I’m afraid I’ll be disappointed :(
Would really like to hear from a fellow fan of his books if this lives up to the paperback?
Not sure if you’ve already seen it, but The Unicorn is a good sitcom. Well, the first few seasons anyway and after that you just want to see what the characters get up to :)
Oh my God!!! I don’t know whose bright idea this was but this is just terrible! Bialik is not funny in this at all. I feel so bad for Miranda Hart. This show was ripped from her Brit sitcom “Miranda” and, unfortunately, she let them. She also happens to be one of the producers and she should have known better. The whole format, from fourth wall asides to the cast bows at the end is a dreadful, dreadful, dreadful copy. Please view the original series.
Miranda just does the same thing every episode. It’s like watching a bad case of deja vu! She’s not funny and only got her own show because Daddy works for the BBC :(
Great series! Entertaining, great content, beautifully shot and has some strong, talented leading actors. Freddie and Vera are brilliant! It’s not actually a “horror” genre but it is a thriller. I’m just disappointed they didn’t make a few more seasons as the material and scope was definitely there. I think they finished the series too quickly just when the character (Norman) was coming into his own. I binge watched and finished the entire series in a matter of weeks :)
I was thinking the same thing after watching the trailer, thanks for the heads up
That’s what I should’ve done! Would’ve saved myself the agony of watching that. Why are there no good films on at the moment?
Does anyone have any comments on this series? Is it worth a watch? Thanks!
Just because his condition makes him awkward in social situations doesn’t mean this is unbelievable. He gets the job done almost like a robot (without emotion) but he has the capacity to learn. Being unable to express himself doesn’t take away from the fact that he is super smart. I think it’s a welcome change from the usual depressing and boring hospital dramas that are so predictable.
Freddie Highmore does am amazing job! I’ve only just seen the first two episodes but already I can’t wait to watch and see what happens next.
The ending ruined this for me :( I don’t understand how anyone watching would be OK with the way they ended the movie… Maybe they’ll start a series version so they can correct this massive mistake
You can basically insert Steven Segal or Nicholas Cage in this movie…..dammit Bruce!!!
Does that mean it’s good or bad? Is Bruce actually in it and not just a cameo like some of his stuff? Thanks! Love Steven Segal :)
Don’t waste your time. What a boring film???? It had an interesting storyline idea but they didn’t bother making it into a film worth anyone’s time… That’s an hour and a half I won’t get back :(
This was surprisingly enjoyable to watch - not the usual predictable, sappy offerings Hallmark gives us. I really hope this is a sign of things to come with their movies and that they realise their audiences don’t want to see the same old storylines rehashed with different actors and locations….
I watch Danica in the “Matchmaker Mysteries”. She’s really likeable and can actually act, whilst coming across genuine onscreen, unlike the other Hallmark heroines who are just awful :( I hope we’ll see more of her on Hallmark. I’m sure we’re due for another installment of the Matchmaker Mysteries by now!
And I can’t not comment on how amazing Bess Armstrong looks for her age! She’s still beautiful and understated as always :)
Unfortunately, this was yet another Z movie with dodgy camera angles and lazy static shots… With a decent director, DOP and actors this could’ve been a good movie. It’s a shame - another wasted opportunity!
I started watching this show because I saw that James Spader is in it. I didn’t realise it was the show that led to the spinoff Boston Legal and I’ve already seen that - so am going backwards watching The Practice now!??!
For other James Spader fans, I think it’s worth letting you know that he doesn’t appear in the show (as Alan Shore) until the 8th Season :( And if you are a Boston Legal fan like me, you’ll be pleased to hear that William Shatner makes an appearance in 5 episodes in Season 8 as our beloved character “Denny Crane”! And it’s because of these two that I’m watching the show…
It’s not a bad show, some of the cases are interesting making it quite entertaining but it’s not in the same league as Boston Legal - the best show ever to hit our screens! Most of the characters are likeable and it does pass the time as you want to see what happens in their private/work lives. It does seem to edit out quite a bit of the courtroom drama side of the show or maybe they didn’t bother filming those scenes in the first place because sometimes you’re left asking questions that don’t get answers when the verdict is announced.
Unfortunately for me, the most unlikeable character (Lindsay Dole) is getting more and more screen time as the episodes unfold so if it wasn’t for the hope of seeing Alan Shore and Denny Crane, I would’ve stopped watching because she is so annoying and the completely wrong character for them to be focusing on when they have some really interesting characters they could concentrate on. They should’ve written her out in the first Season :(
OMG! What a boring film :( I lost the will to live before it was even half way through… And they made 2 more after this???? :)
Harlan Coben is a literary genius and my most favourite author in the whole world so I hope this show is a credit to his works and a good interpretation of his book. Fingers crossed! :)
Some GREAT NEWS for Reddington fans :) :)
According to some websites The Blacklist has been renewed for SEASON 9 :) and that’s not the real good news!
The real good news is that finally we will be rid of the Elizabeth Keen character once and for all as the actor is bowing out and will not be in it any more after Season 8 :) :) It’s a long time coming and she was the only part of the show that was really difficult to watch - I’m soooo glad she will not be there to take all the attention away from everyone else. It had become the Elizabeth Keen show and has actually made me STOP waching after Season 6 as I got sick and tired of it…
This news has given me a great buzz and I will go back to watching and look forward to the end of Season 8 and Liz Keen :) YAY!
I can’t believe no-one has commented on this show…?
I’m on Season 3 and it’s a great laugh - lots of funny scenes and the characters are easy to like. If you are a fan of Friends you’ll like this as it’s basically like watching Monica (Ms. Cox) with a new group of pals. It’s very well written and I’m enjoying every episode so far… It’s also really nice to see them filming outside too for a change rather than using bad versions of sets in a studio!
I’ve been really enjoying this series but have to say that the second half of Season 4 is really making it difficult to watch :( I think the Mr Kaplan storyline was a big mistake and a complete waste of time - it’s actually really annoying for a viewer to sit through and I’m hoping it will end soon so we can get back to enjoying a really intriguing and entertaining show! Note to the writers: what were you thinking with this really stupid storyline!!!?!?!
Denzel was awsome as the equalizer , I would say far better than edward woodward , denzel pulled of the tortured deadly loner . This is just PC indentity politics garbage . Why ruin an established story that people like by shoe horning in someone who doesnt fit just to show how woke you are ? because they know this would never work as a stand alone series plain and simple so hijacking an established series is a cop out
Denzel’s version was not The Equalizer. Edward Woodward was what The Equalizer was all about. He was brilliant and William Zabka as his son :) Denzel’s version was just another movie and everyone I know that’s seen the original series agrees.
