The Crow (1994)
paul40au 6 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

There is something eerie about watching an actors final role. They were alive and now they are…Not. Such is the case with this movie, Brandon Lee, son of Hollywood legend Bruce Lee -we all know the story, was accidentally shot while filming this movie. I have only seen this movie with Brandon in it but it was a scary, but also powerful movie, not for the faint of heart

The Fear of God (2011)

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015)
paul40au 4 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Whether its just her acting or just who she really is, Ellie Kemper seems to be the most cheerful actress in TV Land. A little far fetched this show is-but also very light hearted and entertaining

Dr. Death: The Undoctored Story (2021)
paul40au 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Very curious to here this story. Sounds very much like Jayant Patel and Harold Shipman. Its very chilling how these normal looking unassuming people turn out to be murderers…but then again, I am sure Dahmer and Bundy didnt have “Murderer” written on there foreheads

Schitt's Creek (2015)
paul40au 4 points 3 years ago.

Best show of late.I think its genius they dont have a laugh track, as the laughs come more from the interactions between people and the every day slice of life situations we all can relate to. I never heard of Dan Levy before this. Eugene Levy I must say, looks a bit more less geeky without glasses

Idiocracy (2007)
prism -3 points 3 years ago.

dumber than I expected, didn’t even watch 20 minutes and stopped it.

paul40au 5 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Dude, its SUPPOSED to be Dumb. Terry Crewes as the US President!?-It is a satire of how dumb the world is getting. With a title like Idiocracy-what did u expect?

Amazing Stories (1985)

So many guest stars in this show, even Rebecca Schaeffer. RIP

Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize (2010)
Ashtré 2 points 3 years ago.

He did a lot of work for/with his brother and helped write a lot of material. Like, ever see Vampire in Brooklyn? Charlie had a lot of input into the story and helped draft the screenplay. He gets top billing in the credits over the other dudes. I wanna say it’s their finest work but I’m a horror movie buff so I’m gonna be biased. But, yeah, I don’t think a lot of people would even know who the guy was if not for the Chappelle Show.

paul40au 3 points 3 years ago.

Never saw Vampire, but I am aware of it. Prefer the lighter Murphy comedys like Norbit, Bowfinger, Klumps, Beverly Hills Cop etc

Webster (1983) S1 E4

I really wish they would kill off David.

Sorry, but that didnt happen!

Moonlighting (1985)
paul40au 3 points 3 years ago.

Great show season 1 and 2. I feel it went downhill after Season 3. Maybe the stories werent as original, or maybe Bruce and Cybil got tired of working together (even though they made 2 more seasons). But nonetheless a good chance to Bruce Willis do comedy

Vacation Friends (2021)
paul40au 3 points 2 years ago.

This looks good. Havent heard of the 2 girls but I know of Lil and John

Saturday Night Live (1975) S23 E4
paul40au 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Chris Farleys final SNL episode after being fired. You can tell that the other cast members are concerned about him and his weight. He died less than 2 months later at age 33. Good sketches, sad that Farley got to this point. 2-15-1964-12-18-1997. May Chris Farley RIP

Ron Howards bro Clint appears in this episode

Charlie Murphy: I Will Not Apologize (2010)
paul40au 3 points 3 years ago.

Unfortunately, no links as yet, but Charlie Murphy (who I hadnt heard of, until I watched Chappelles Show), is hilarious, and just as funny as his big bro Eddie. Its a shame that Charlie Died in 2017 of Leukemia (yes that was spelled wrong, I am a Movie commentor, not a spelling bee champ). His stories of Rick James and Prince are hilarious-and apparently true!

Chris Farley (cameo) as a Police Officer: “A woman with a nose ring==Great, Grand, Wonderful”

Bongwater (2013)
paul40au 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Ok, movie, released in 1997, not 2013. After all, Brittany Murphy died in 2009-a bit odd that she is in a movie, 4 years after she died.

48 Hours (1988)
paul40au 4 points 3 years ago.

I find this series to be fascinating and informative. We get in depth looks into crimes and the victims/perps backgrounds. Being from Australia, some of these cases I had never heard of. In fact I make a point of clicking on a case I never heard of—and then googling it afterwards

The Big Lebowski (1998)
McShagan 8 points 5 years ago*.

I’m the dude man. The Coen bros masterpiece and that is saying something. If you are one of the few that haven’t seen this. Do yourself a favor and watch it while you are here.

paul40au 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Yes I agree, this movie is one of the Coens Brothers best.

Anything with Chris Elliott in it is pure comedy gold

A Look Back at Howard the Duck (2009)
paul40au 2 points 3 years ago.

I havent seen this movie, but I know it copped a lot of flack when it was released, going to watch it (not now, as i have to have breakfast) but I usually like movies that are a little quirky. Why was it hated so much? Was it because it was a movie about a talking Duck

Twirl (1981)

Never seen or heard of this one, will watch it later

Schitt's Creek (2015)

Anyone else think Alexis looks a cross between Anne Hathaway and Gillian Jacobs

A Merry Friggin' Christmas (2014)
paul40au 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was released the year Robin Williams died. You can tell he is not his usual self in this movie. His “comedy” usually relies on quick wit and fast talking -in this movie, his comedy is just poking his tongue out at a church scene RIP

Gilda Live (1980)
paul40au 2 points 3 years ago.

Havent seen yet, looks amazeballs! (to quote Casey Wilson)

Just You and Me, Kid (1979)

Have heard of this movie. Anything with George Burns, you know is going to be good. Has a young Brooke Shields and William Russ-the Dad on Boy Meets World. Am looking forward to watching it…May do a review after I watched it ;)

Superman III (1983)

Whilst Superman 1 and 2 ,obviously are “tongue in cheek”-this one plays more as a Comedy, with Richard Pryor and Christopher Reeve in the main roles.

Fathers' Day (1997)
paul40au 2 points 3 years ago.

If for no other reason than to see the late great Robin Williams and….the (not as funny, but still funny) Billy Crystal in a movie together

Just Add Water (2008)
paul40au 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Quite an underappreciated indie gem.
Ray Tuckby (Dylan Walsh) with the help of Merle Stryker (Danny Devito), Helps to bring justice to a small town in California, by giving the toughs of the town (Jonah Hill, Joey Kern, Will Rothaar etc) a dose of there own medicine

The Van (1977)
paul40au 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

It is an OK movie. I originally saw this movie on DVD-(At a bargain bin, no less) but thats not because the movie is bad, its just that it was made a long time ago=If you think Danny Devito is the main star in this movie, you will be sadly mistaken. He is only on in the first 10 minutes and has a 5 time time frame-the rest of the actors-I had never heard of, and are not “big names” in the industry. The basic plot is 2 guys buy a van so they can have “fun times” with there girlfriends. Not a bad movie-but fairly predictable
