The Expanse (2015) S6 E5

Got cancelled on account of one of the actors acting like an idiot and sexually harassing people. Messed it up for everybody. Can’t remember which one it was now. People were talking about it here, and I looked it up. Was an episode or so back. Peeps were hoping someone else would pick this up and keep it going.

Going to season 5 they knew that 6 was going to be the last one, after season 3 Amazon saved them of the cancellation from Syfy, but you could notice that the money spent on the show was not the same. I suppose that Amazon is giving all the money to the Lord of the Rings one, the most expensive TV show ever made, and they cut this one.Personally it’s a shame this show is so good it’s sad to seeing it going away

I think he only does stuff for NBC… But usually when something makes that transition from the BBC he shows up as a producer.

He’s doing his thing for Netflix too, perhaps he didn’t have the time and trusted the people in charge of the series, and was right about it, and cashed some money in the way too lol

I love that this show has evolved into its own thing and isn’t just a 1:1 knockoff of the British version. Now we get to enjoy 2X more Ghosts show.

You are right, when I knew they were going to make an US version of the show I was thinking It was going to be so bad from past experiences, but it has his own voice and I really think they did a good job with the same premise, we can enjoy 2 very good shows!

Going to be interesting to see what happens when this airs on HBO Asia.

I live in Taiwan, here some people will be happy that the show talks about the situation, but this will never be aired in China, but if you look into it they never said on the show that Taiwan should be an independent country they only told what is going on, and that is the point. I’m lucky because in case of war I could be repatriated and my Taiwanese wife too, but theres is 23 million people here, and I can tell you than the vast majority of people here don’t want to be ruled by China

Man, this show has that feel good thing down pat.

DarkKlown 7 points 2 years ago.

True, it’s amazing nowadays to find a show that makes you feel good after watching it. I am a superfan of horror, sci-fi, and gritty and dark series or movies, but this one is like a breeze of fresh air

The Tomorrow War (2021)
DarkKlown 3 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was entertaining but not a good movie, like an Indenpendence Day movie, it gets your on your seat for the novelty and adventure, but nothing new that you never saw before. Edge of Tomorrow was way better but only because you watch Tom Cruise die a lot of times. Good for a one time watch if you liked I.D.

And to think—we could have had at least 30 more Robot Chickens instead of this.

DarkKlown 2 points 2 years ago.

And think that they earned more money doing this than with all the seasons of Robot Chicken

I tried, after 37 minutes in It’s a rip of Predator in Asia, with bad fights and Nic Cage who was the reason I started to watch is not even there, he is in the first 10 seconds of the movie and perhaps later, but I didn’t have the patience to go further. For me it’s not a bad good Nic Cage movie…. so disappointed

The New Mutants (2020)

Way better than the last 3 X-Men movies, for a third or less of the money, it’s a shame that this will never have a sequel

A Dark Path (2020)

Dark Forces (2020)
DarkKlown 1 points 3 years ago.

Everything is Bad in this movie, story, actors, VFX, music and the few action scenes were worse than the ones from any 80’s TV show.I can’t understand how somebody could spent money doing it and why somebody at Netflix thought it was a good idea to buy it. 0/5

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E1

Am I the ONLY one that caught the Evil Dead Easter-Egg in this episode? The damned cabin, there was even a friggin deer-head on the wall JUST right…

In the Mouth of Madness (1995)
RoboPhone 0 points 3 years ago*.

You are correct. This film indeed pays tribute to the work of seminal horror writer H. P. Lovecraft, with many references to his stories and themes. Its title is a play on Lovecraft’s novella, At the Mountains of Madness, and insanity plays as great a role in the film as it does in Lovecraft’s fiction. But it’s John Carpenter’s direction and inspired musical score that brought this to life and set the atmospheric tempo for this macabre masterpiece. We are extremely fortunate as Carpenter originally passed on this, but was given a second chance almost twelve years later. Some unseen force, perhaps destiny, delivered this project to him at the most appropriate time in his career or this might not have become quite the cult classic it is renowned for today. A must see for fans of the genre, H. P. Lovecraft and John Carpenter! 4/5.

For me this is the best Lovecraftian movies of all times, and with a bit of SK too, one of my favs
