By name recognition, I’m talking about the film “Day Of The Dead” by Romero. https://www.primewire.ag/movie/197196-watch-day-of-the-dead
I know I read your comment and that’s why I posted my perspective. John Russo co-wrote with George Romero on the book “Day of the Dead” and other zombie properties. The “Return of the Living Dead” series is what first popped into my head personally and felt like that might be relevant to some people who may know the property(it’s really good and funny). After I saw the “CHUM” episode title I’m Kind of surprised there isn’t an episode titled Bwains, lol :D.
It cashes in on name recognition, but anyone looking for something similar to Romero’s masterpiece will be sorely disappointed.
I think they were going more for the John Russo “Return of the Living Dead” series vibe, than the, Romero “Night of the living Dead” series vibe.
It wasn’t my stomaching it so much as I didn’t think it was a very good movie. Not like Midnight Meat Train that had plenty of gore and nastiness but also had a good story to go along.
Midnight Meat Train, that is a Clive Barker story. The movie wasn’t as good, but entertaining, and so much better than any Human Centipede.
Wings from Wakanda with LOVE. I wonder what the colour scheme is going to be? Hope its something Flashy and vibrant, his $4!+ was weak before.
When the whitewashed original series is more socially aware than the politically correct GRRL-power version. I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
He’s also the voice of the Commander of G Force—Battle of The Planets animation from the 80s too. It’s also here.
I just love me a Sandy Frank Production. 1978 Gatchaman opening is pretty cool to though.
That was a good flick. Really dug the soundtrack, especially the Glass Candy track and the Puccini. Wasn’t expecting that.
It was 1974 - lots of people were called dick…
It’s the dragging dick joke that I can’t take seriously. Richard is a family name for me, so it’s the first thing that came to mind when they introduced the character.
Thank you. Got it: so sometime after the return of the Jedi.
I hope Grogu didn’t die before the force awakened! Curious of the story we will be told.
Well, he’s one of Luke’s first students. If Force Awakens is to be believed as canon, Ben Solo kills all his students, and, takes the name Kylo Ren.
Thanks, but I don’t remember the names of battles. I’ll have to do a little research ;-)
Sorry had that a lil’ dislexed. Yavin was Death Star 1’s destruction, and Endor was Death Star 2’s Destruction.
This was amazing but I am confused about the timeline. Star Wars fans, where does this series fit in the movies’ timeline since LS looks that young?
About 4 years after the battle of Endor and 5 years after the battle of Yavin. Luke would be in his late 20’s.
I know Jensen Ackles was busy with Supernatural, but what a wasteful casting. His name shouldn’t be in the info as that is what drew me in. Someone of his calibre and he is in it for 30 seconds. As for the movie, it was okay. Felt like a knockoff version of “Tag” with less story and less point. Still worth a one time watch I guess. 2.5/5
Heard he is supposed to be in the next season of “The Boys” as Soldier Boy, I hope it isn’t the same thing there.
They better not mess this up
edit. they did.
I know right. John Cho as Spike, and, Mustafa Shakir as The Black Dog who Bites, it’s a good start. I think Yoko Kanno is attached too, for soundtrack composition. That should make skipping the intro and outro punishable by death.
“Sol Invictus”, the conquering sun. Unless you were referring to Saul Goodman and then by all means yes, praise Saul.
The origins of the Mythraic cults “Sol” predates the Roman “Sol Invictus”. It is even thought that it predates the Zoroastrian faith that usurped Mythras(likely where the convolution of the diety began) under Ahura Mazda(also associated with the light, or bringer of light), making it a companion of the psychopomps Sraosha, and, Rashnu who lead the soul to the afterlife. Mythras is also the god of contracts, and, protector of cattle and water.
You haven’t even apologized for your last comment, which is the least I’d expect before taking anything you say seriously. Your nothing but toxicity and anger.
Very silly film - in the style of Jackie Chan in the 80’s. Fat Donnie Yen with glasses knows all the kung fu though. My only gripe is the rubber alsatian was brutal - in the words of the great sage Butthead “These effects aren’t very special”.
Well for one I know the “Tudor” period is “American” history, and, most history prior to that is a shared history. Primarily because England was an outcast among the nation states and pirating Spanish gold from the colonies was a finite proposition. Leading to the formation of Virginia by Sir Walter Raleigh(you can thank him for tobacco too), who named it after Elizabeth 1 known as The Virgin Queen. As for “Brit” worship, LOL, France and Britain have been kissing American GI boots since 1918.
Mutant fox-tails…
It looked like the fur was just matted down from internal body fluids and shi+.
Just wondering if the episode having voice-over for the blind would be considered faulty and should be reported.
Even though Season 2 was shortened, due to Covid-19, leaving some plot threads dangling, there’s Great News for Fan Patrol…er Doom Patrol Fans!
Lance Ausfresser of the Doom Patrol Group, posted on Facebook that not only are we getting both a season 3 and season 4 of Doom Patrol, but they will film simultaneously!!! Also, production Kickoff date is reportedly to commence September 8th!
I saw that too, but, I don’t believe the Sept. 8th date(covid seems more of a concern now than before). Didn’t hear anything about a season 4 though, that’s cool to know.
So dumb, five min in to the first episode, and, the only way they get it to work is because the script said it should. Not sure if I can make it the parts everyone else seems to enjoy about this show, it’s painfully forced.
Fu(K!n& lame, no closure whatsoever to this season. Cliffhanger like a son of a
b!+{4, and who knows when they will even get a chance to resolve it.
Yeah, I wouldn’t do it on this site. But, IRL, I’m notorious. I go full MST3K during shows and movies as well. Drives my kids nuts.
Good to know, wasn’t sure how touchy a subject it is on the site, and I thought I might catch Becishere before someone who would be upset saw it. I’m usually talking about episodes freely after a month. Never really understood about spoilers, if someone talking about a movie or show spoils it for you it probably wasn’t that good. Also people go out of their ways most times to see a trailer or early snippets(which are usually the best parts), then lose all composure when a person tells them something.
Not that I really care, I’d hate to see you lose your account though. You should edit it and click the spoiler box at the bottom so you don’t get dinged by a moderator. For a family show they kill people off on a regular basis, it’s refreshing. But, I know what you mean.
Man, this show is killing fools off like every week.
I understand how it might seem that way, but it is honestly just my way of trying to avoid anger and aggression by being just plain silly.
drops a handful of glitter onto your head and rubs it in so it will take weeks to get it all out
I do not remember that, I’m afraid. But I do apologise, and I mean that sincerely. I was not a good person in the past, and I said some horrible things, but not remembering it does not clear me of the responsibility for it. I really am sorry.
Thank you, I appreciate that. That is very healthy, for both of us, the cute stuff felt manipulative and freaks me out. I’m sorry if my comment felt like a personal attack.
Based on the USNavy capture of their Enigma machine off of U505 on June 4th, 1944.
I don’t get the arguing over that BS. After watching the movie, has nothing to do with capturing an Enigma machine(disappointing). Based on the USNavy’s entrance into WWII in 1942, very good movie though. U571 isn’t completely fake, but, it was a conglomeration of all U-boat captures and seizure of code machines and books by both British and American forces using artistic licence.
Oh I never said they did not get one, but they certainly did not do it it first, and when they did it certainly was not like in that movie :-)
sprinkles happy glitter with little Union Jacks on them behind her as she skips away whistling happy tunes to herself
You prob don’t remember talking to me like a lunatic in a previous post and flaming me in chat. Now your talking to me like I’m one of your glitter fiends, this is disconcerting to me. But, I was informed that I face consequences for my previous comment so I’m removing it.
You know that’s fictional, right? It was the british who captured the Enigma machine.

The show was actually based on a comic book which you might still be able to find somewhere; but I do miss Mtv Oddities!
Maddox is such a weaselie opportunist. Very un-Starfleet in his persuit of knowledge and expanding the repository of lifeforms in the galaxy. Can’t understand why they would bring him back for the “Picard” series.
$4!+ yeah, G-Force! One of my first anime growing up. I liked it more than Voltron, or, Speed Racer. Until Dragon Ball came out it was tops.
Had to wait till I watched the whole thing before commenting. Visuals and effects are stunning, even for a Star Trek show(I mean sci-fi visuals are usually lacking). Only a couple of characters are beyond annoying, but not any worth naming, except maybe that blonde Doc. My only real qualm is the writing, it must be a sign of the time that writing is so lazy and superficial. They basically lifted the the story straight from Mass Effect, which was an amazing story, but not what I expect from an original show like Star Trek. The fan-service was pretty good, not as heavy handed as I would have thought, and, it also brought in some very interesting side stories that can be built on.
I meant on the description here, but I see they’ve already changed it.
Right on.
