Johnny vs Amber (2021)
DebbyDebb 6 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I definitely have opinions on this. I don’t believe for a second Johnny Depp did to her what she said. Is he messed up? Yes. But that doesn’t mean he abused her. She’s terribly messed up too and I think she wanted to ride on his coat tails to stardom. How can someone who has been in the lime light since his early twenties who is now in his late fifties be accused of such horrendous acts for the first time? All his exes have said he did NOT ever abuse them. I’ve been abused by men. So I’m not saying this lightly.

Wow. Just wow. This show is fantastic. Right up there with Fauda and I don’t put many shows in it’s league. Very tense and I couldn’t stop watching. It was a back to back watch. Definitely worth watching if you don’t mind subtitles. It’s in English, Arabic, Hebrew and Norwegian. You get the best of Scandinavian and Israeli tv together. Doesn’t get much better than that. I believe they’ve left it open for a second season. Did I say “wow”?!!!

Hope Street (2021)
DebbyDebb 2 points 2 years ago*.

This is an ok show. It reminds me of Midsomer Murders. A beautiful location to shoot a show - a seacoast town in Ireland. It’s a crime show but on the lighter side. I’ve watched two episodes and will keep watching. Not my favourite but not the worst. Hope that helps.

I was so excited I found this on here. The series has ended which is sad because it’s fantastic and to watch and enjoy this, one should really watch the series first. And it’s well worth the watch. This man is an amazing actor!! Excellent!

Duda razonable: Historia de dos secuestros (2021)
DebbyDebb 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This was a very sad and disturbing documentary. My heart went out to these poor men and their families. The prosecution played with them over and over again like they weren’t even human beings. I was so angry. I pray for a miracle that they will find a way to be released from this hell hole they have no reason to be in. Terrible.

This was a very well done dramatization of this very disturbing and sad story. The cast was amazing - so many well known actors. I’m so glad at least some justice was done. But it wasn’t enough in my eyes.

I was excited to see this new show with Nicola Walker because I loved her in The Unforgotten but her character this is nothing like that character at all in my opinion, its weak, and trying to be funny which is coming across really flat. And sadly for me being an American English speaker only, the accent they are using is more thick than other shows from U.K. and hard to understand what they are saying half the time. She usually plays stronger women and without the comical tries, which she is better at. And the new format they are trying with the main character talking to midair aka us the watchers of the show, is very confusing at times. I hope it picks up because I’m not sure I can watch much more of it in its now footage. Time will tell. I had high hopes. Try to enjoy it. Thank you to the uploaders in any case.

DebbyDebb 7 points 2 years ago.

When filming this show I highly doubt they were stopping to think about pleasing American audiences just like when filming an American show they don’t stop to think about pleasing audiences in other parts of the world. It’s a UK show. They are catering to their audience.

I’m just about to watch this so I haven’t yet but as soon as I saw Nicola Walker that was enough for me to say “yes”!!!! I love her and have never not liked something she’s been in. I’m guessing she left Unforgotten to do this. Can’t wait!!

I was just waiting for this to come on. Fantastic. Lior Raz never disappoints. His acting is fantastic. He plays Doron in Fauda and I can’t wait for season 4 of that to come out. If you haven’t watched it you should although with everything going on it can be a touchy subject. Well done though - angles from both sides. So when I saw he was going to be in this I knew it was a must watch and I wasn’t wrong. I guess there will be a season 2. That makes me sad in that I have to wait for more but happy knowing there will be more.

I just finished watching this on Netflix. Oh my goodness. I was so angry by the time it was finished and in tears. I used to live in Mexico and it’s my second home. I’ve been there 33 times. I have very good friends there, was married to someone there and have seen what life is like - the hardships and how wonderful “most” people are there. This broke my heart. It’s pretty tough to watch but very well done.

I can’t believe how many people thought these wolves were real. Please. They are one of my favorite animals. They’re like the same size as the ones in the Twilight series which I loved because of the indigenous characters who turned into wolves while running. What more could a girl ask for? I started watching this movie but didn’t continue. It just didn’t hold my attention and that’s saying a lot when Liam Neeson and wolves were in it.

Well that was tense! I’m sure they’ll get out of it. They’re not going to let 4 main characters die. Especially Kelly. All of these shows have wrapped up early this season. I guess due to covid. Question!!! I stopped watching this show after season 2. Should I pick it back up? I didn’t stop watching for any reason really I just want to know if it got better or worse.

DebbyDebb 3 points 3 years ago.

I think this show has had its ups and downs but it’s still worth watching. I love it and always wait with anticipation for the next episode. However, if James Spader ever left or wasn’t playing Red, the show would not be the same. He makes this show in my opinion. So yes, I would continue to watch.

Now that I can see, I’ll write my comment. That ending brought me to many tears. Very well done but so sad. I hate to see Cass go - to me she made the show. But I see from comments here that there’s going to be a Season 5 and that makes me happy. I can’t see it without her but I’m sure it will still be the amazing show the last 4 seasons have been. Nicola must have had other projects to do. She’s brilliant in whatever she does.

The Voice UK (2012) S10 E1
DebbyDebb 0 points 3 years ago.

This is not my favourite version of The Voice. They just let singers they don’t turn for walk off the stage without telling them why no one turned. I feel so bad for the singers. At least on the US and Australian versions they are kind enough to tell them why and possibly to come back.

The Con (2020)

This is a very good show. Wow - what people will go through for the almighty dollar. Money is the root of all evil. There are some people I feel for but most I don’t because they wanted self gratification as well and they got ripped off looking for it. Eye opening for sure but some of these people are just down right “silly” (I’m being polite).

Thank you for the reply. I’m still working from home and I can sneak in a few episodes during the day. And it looks like all seasons have 2 or more links which surprised me since the series started in 1998. Not often do you find a series this old with links for each season.

DebbyDebb 1 points 3 years ago.

No problem. I know. Sometimes I get so excited to see there’s a show on here and then there are no links - especially older shows like this. This is a gem and shouldn’t be missed despite how old it is. And Nicholas Campbell shines in it. I hope you enjoy it!

Da Vinci's Inquest (1998)

I’d like to watch this drama but the question is this, do I need to watch all seasons before watching Da Vinci’s City Hall? Or could I watch the last season of this drama and not be totally lost when watching the first season of Da Vinci’s City Hall? It would take me several weeks to watch 7 seasons before starting Da Vinci’s City Hall. Thanks.

I would watch all seasons just because it’s soooo good. You’d really be missing out if you don’t.

This is so sad and unnecessary. I can actually relate to this one but I got away. The mom or brother should have gone and got her or at least tried much earlier. William Shatner is perfect for this show. Love his voice. However, in this episode I had to laugh at the “upside down cross” house. If you took that same picture from the opposite angle it would be “right side up”. They were in the house for all of two minutes. I am glad to hear that they think there could be demonic forces in it because that is what people think are ghosts. They scratch, smell, cause people to do horrible things, etc. But the house upside down thing made me laugh.

I don’t mind this show at all. I don’t feel let down after waiting for it for so long. I wasn’t expecting it to be even close to the movies. How could it be? This young actress is doing a pretty good job considering the shoes she has to fill. Nobody could replace Jody Foster at the same level. So, after two episodes, I will continue to watch. There are far worse out there and again, given the level of Silence of the Lambs and Manhunter, etc. perhaps expectations were high but there is no replacing them. Perhaps they shouldn’t have tried at all but given they did, it’s not too bad.

Yet another amazing Danish crime show. It doesn’t say in the description that it’s based on a true story. That makes it even better. But also a very sad story. It’s scary to think there are “human beings” (and I use the term lightly) this evil in the world. Especially in Denmark - one of the safest and happiest places in the world.

I can’t tell you how sad I am this happened to you. It happened to a friend of mine’s sister too. But please know that was not God. He hated what happened to you too. It was a human who did that. Jesus said “they will hate you because they first hated me”. And this is so true. The Cahtholic religion has caused a lot of problems in the name of God. I’m a born again Christian. I don’t believe in religion. As you can see by every single Christian show on here, the haters are real. It doesn’t surprise me in the least. It used to make me very upset but I remember what Christ Himself said and I just feel really bad for those who feel they have to attack those who believe differently than they do. Fairytales? Hmmmmmm. I beg to differ. And in this world we live in, people would be smart if they turned to the God they think is so horrible instead of turning against Him. Do your research. Read the Bible. But honestly you don’t even have to do that. If you have questions, google them. And honestly, if there is a show on something I don’t believe in, I don’t watch it. And I especially don’t watch it and then bash all the people who you do not know, and put hurtful and hateful comments on. But again, for so many reasons, I’m not surprised by the Christian bashing. It actually proves my point. Oh and in the end we will ALL find who is right and who is wrong. I’m happy to be on the right side. God Bless you.

Murder on Middle Beach (2020)
YgraineDance -2 points 3 years ago.

I’m sure the crime is real, but honestly, this show, and everything about it, feels so staged. The filmmaker is soooo peculiarly…flat…when asking questions and receiving answers from family that SHOULD have him raising his voice and showing some kind of deep emotion. He never does! If it had been MY mom, and I couldn’t get anything from loved ones but dramatic, overly-cute deflections and outright lies, I’d be enraged, shaking people by their (ass-covering) shoulders, and slapping some faces. Especially that Aunt Conway. What a mealy-mouthed affect SHE presents! Everyone in the family seems to be lying and/or holding back facts until they’re personally useful; some way more than others. Horrible people.

DebbyDebb 1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I agree. Something with this documentary doesn’t seem right. I got very turned off when the aunt, Conway, turned it onto the sister. Hadn’t seen her in the first episodes then there she is. I’ll keep watching out of curiosity but it does seem very staged.

A lot of the shows have come back this season with episodes having to do with what’s going on in the world right now. I watch tv to get a break from it. We see enough on the news. I would like them to do shows with different content.
