While the book always remains unchanged on the shelf, the series is straying so far from both the original novel and the last two seasons it should for the sake of accuracy and continuity consider a name change.
While I’m as fascinated with the pantheon of the African gods and its magical systems as the next armchair occulturist, the current take seem more like a desperate and shallow attempt to capture the woke demographic than anything else.
I did enjoy Technical Boy as a shapeshifting interdimensional alien and Laura’s eviction from purgatory was the closest thing to the grand finale of my first DMT experience back in the day I’ve ever seen, but aside from that I’m feeling the cold chill of a wasted opportunity.

I said it before, there are a lot of people that say iron man 3 is bad and age of ultron is good so no suprise at this being the reaction so far.
My main gripe with the show is that 3 episodes are almost fully just references to shows boomers would get so it does nothing for me who watches almost no sitcoms ever.
and the excuse of “you dont get it” was idiotic and cheap as well if you know anything about scarlet witch, the “twist” was extremely obvious. The only surprising thing was bringing kat dennings back. You can’t just put fanservice and that makes it a good product, star wars.
watching this on disney+ before anyone wants to use that “you’re not paying for it so criticism bad” too

Ugh. I’m annoyed after this watch. It was well done enough to want to see more, but there wasn’t much to chew on. is this an appetizer before the main course of a full-length movie? Or was this it?
