Cradle is an experimental short-film that takes a look inside the internal workings of Jona, a lost soul stuck in permanent liminality. Jona is a young man who performs a ritualistic self-initiation to remember his twin sister that was born after he died in the womb. Jona feels incomplete and is stuck in Spirit Land, lost and confused without her. He feels eternally connected to her deep within himself, but he does not know how to reach her from his place in purgatory. Jona unconsciously acts out his feminine characteristics in his ritual, and it is in his darkest depths that he remembers the truth of who he is, and finally, if only briefly, the two souls connect. |
