Three stories weave together, raising the question of whether race is innately a part of the way Americans perceive themselves and others on both he conscious and unconscious level. In the Piper family kitchen, an African American father and Caucasian American mother are confronted by their angry daughter, a girl obviously of Asian descent, demanding to know who her “real” parents are. In a casting office in Manhattan, a young actress, Ashley, is offered a dream movie if only she is willing to sacrifice her pride. In a park, Ashley, the Piper family and a series of other people cross paths and - just for a moment - are colorblind.
