Details:

As climate changes and warms, the western forests of North America have been undergoing dramatic changes. Winters are warmer now and the killing cold temperatures that have historically kept the pine beetle populations in check are now allowing the pine beetle to multiply in numbers that are astoundingly high. These beetles are killing pine trees across the west creating swaths of dead trees in millions of acres. Currently there is no solution to stop the beetles and for the fate of our dying forests, only a colder climate will stop them. This film examines the relationship the pine beetles have with our forests.
