When Big Stacey is attacked by up and coming criminal Duncan Innes, his uncle, Mr Fraser, sees it as his opportunity to come out of retirement and show that he’s just as ruthless as he used to be. “Wake Up Call” is a short crime film, based in the Edinburgh underworld. It follows the characters of Mr Fraser, an ageing gangster and Duncan, a fearless up and coming criminal, and what happens when their paths cross. It is an observation of modern violent culture and the mindless brutality that surrounds it.
