A thought provocative and moving documentary about a woman who scammed the welfare system out of $400,000 in the late 1970’s However the federal government took 2.5 million in return when FBI discovers she owned 2 mansions and 120 apartment units. a woman’s journey from the poor delta cotton fields of Mississippi which led to Greed in the windy-city fast life of Chicago. Fraud gained her riches and roses in Pasadena. Deceit landed her in federal prison. Her story of greed fraud and deceit has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey show, The Tonight show, Up-close, Cnn, Night line and many others. President Reagan coined her as a ‘Welfare Queen’ by making an example of her to help reform the welfare system. Unfortunately her need turned to greed because of something she inherited from her very own husband she was introduced at the early age of sixteen to an illegal elastic life style. Greed, fraud and deceit exploded into psychopathic behavior when her husband left her with five kids alone in a 27 room mansion with no cash. Her mental mind set inspired her to create multiple identities to survive. Her actions caused shame and Embarrassment to her family of ten children causing her to be ridiculed and ostracized from the very one’s she loved and protected, She went to prison with a 6th grade education While in prison finished collage relieving the heavy burdens that haunted her consciousness allowing her to become a productive member of society presently.
