Angelo Lopez is Mastery Gunnery Sergeant “Rico De La Rosa”, a career military man with his own ideals and powerful connections. In MGySgt. De La Rosa’s eyes, war can be both costly and lucrative. While serving on another tour in Afghanistan he comes across four young Marines. These young men happen to be from Bushwick, Brooklyn, his old stomping grounds. Sergeant De La Rosa recruits them for his operation. With a talent for crunching numbers, LCpl. Lou Sanchez (Michael Lopez) is given the day to day responsibilities. LCpl. Primero “Primo” Soto (Julito McCullum) is head of security, LCpl. Benny Lezcano (Rydell Rollins) is the voice of reason and LCpl. Tony “Tone” Castro (Moisés Acevedo) handles driving duties. After coming home to a hero’s welcome, they form a non-profit foundation helping the families of their fallen comrades, “The With-Honor Foundation.” The Bushwick community stands behind these men of honor. The leader and most respected community activist, Dona Teresa (Denia Brache) embraces them, but not before prior skepticism. Special Agent Medina (Gary Perez) is not convinced that these Marines are a blessing. His gut tells him different….
