In an alternate world, an acquiescent man named Rueden works for an authoritarian dictatorship though he himself harbors anti-government sentiments. He is forced to confront his own shortcomings when his revolutionary friend is caught by the state. Rueden must choose whether to save his own life by continuing to submit to society, or to save his friend. |
