Details:

Vetri joined the Tamil Tigers at age 17 to fight in the more than 25-year-long civil war in Sri Lanka. And with her, thousands of other young girls joined the organisation, some voluntarily, others by force. Although the war ended in 2009, the scars have not yet healed. Many women have permanent physical and mental disabilities. While the current government is monitoring former Tamil Tiger members and trying to prevent their members from seeing each other, Vetri organises therapeutic meetings where wounded women can relax, dance, and be with those who have suffered the same fate. This film, made over 4 years, is not just a testimony about the consequences of one of the most brutal civil wars of recent times - it is chiefly a portrait of a woman who, although today she helps disabled women, was once the propaganda voice of Tamil Tigers responsible for recruiting teenage girls.
