The British government were drawn in to a project that cost Millions of pounds of British tax-payers money by supporting a work project to employ, Catholics and Protestants put aside their problems and work on a car of the future. As the problems mount Delorean struggles to get funds and the FBI use a cocaine-trafficking sting as a way to bring him down. This documentary uses, footage filmed by Oscar winning directors DA Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus, and news documenting from his life and career. Its an insight in to the man who made DeLorean, a man who come from nothing in Detroit to be able to build the car of his dreams. The car was built in the middle of war-torn Belfast. After building a bridge between two communities the dream comes to an end.
