Debbie works as a server in a trendy restaurant as a means to finance her way through film school. She is already having a bad work day and is expecting to be tipped poorly not because of her service but because of the nature of those she is serving. Her latest table is only the latest nightmare of a lech, a foodie know-it-all and a woman with a self-imposed overly restrictive diet. When Debbie learns from her best friend and fellow server Melanie that she got tipped well by someone who had basically stiffed Debbie previously, Debbie has to decide if she will take take Melanie’s advice to play the game with this troublesome table as opposed what would be her basest wants, basically to turn this situation into the “romance” genre as opposed to the “horror/slasher” genre, to get that good tip.
