A young stenographer gains attention by pretending to be the widow of a Captain Brown, supposedly killed in the war. A wealthy family assumes her to be the widow of a real Captain Brown of their acquaintance and takes her in. But the real Captain Brown is neither dead nor far away, and complications erupt when he arrives. |
