In 2006, we followed Run For the Wall, a motorcycle trip across the country from California to D.C. The journey was started by a couple of Vietnam Veterans to ride in memory of those KIA and MIA. The group rides every May, ending in D.C. on Memorial Weekend for the Rolling Thunder rally. We traveled with the Southern Route, and we focused on the Missing Man formation that is always in the front of the pack of riders. The ride is part of a healing process for both older and younger veterans returning to civilian life after the experience of war. |
