Confusion reigns when the last train of the night from a rural railway station fails to arrive. As the nine expectant passengers start to panic, matters are made worse by the sudden and unexplained death of the train conductor on the platform. With an apparent traitor in their midst, the passengers start to rift with no trust in sight. To try and keep the situation under control, the enigmatic station master and a respected soldier hatch a plan; but it’s not long before one of the commuters - a visiting farm labourer - is established as a wanted criminal and is pitched as the murder suspect. But one of the party isn’t so sure: cheeky Irish traveller Riley uncovers the beginnings of a sinister plot and it’s up to him to unravel the mystery. |
