Details:

One-hour NBC television special, broadcast Tuesday night, May 18, 1965, saluting winners of 1964 Grammy Awards. A tribute to recently deceased (February 15, 1965) Nat King Cole is offered by Sammy Davis, Jr. The Grammy Golden Achievement Award is presented to Frank Sinatra. Peter Sellers interviews The Beatles, in a segment taped in London. Performances by Grammy winners are introduced by Woody Allen, Eddy Arnold, Tony Bennett, Godfrey Cambridge, Carol Channing, Arthur Fiedler, Jack Jones and Steve Lawrence. Performances include Hello Dolly (by Louis Armstrong), Downtown (by Petula Clark), King of the Road and Dang Me (by Roger Miller), Pink Panther Theme (by Henry Mancini), The Girl from Ipanema (by Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz), A Hard Day’s Night (by The Beatles), We’ll Sing in the Sunshine (by Gale Garnett), Badinerle, from Suite in B Minor by Bach (by The Swingle Singers), and a comedy monologue by Bill Cosby. Orchestra conducted by Les Brown.
