University students Ren and Kaede get stuck under a pile of rubble in a corner of the school’s laboratory when a major earthquake suddenly strikes. The two of them find themselves stuck in small cramped space and are relentlessly assailed by feelings of panic. Just about when they have started giving up on surviving, Ren remembers reading an article about the ‘third man syndrome.’ The ‘third man’ is a mysterious creature, supposedly appearing in front of people on the verge of death to lead them to safety. While the two are trying to discover their hopes in this desperate situation, will the ‘third man’ appear to save them?
