Life is complicated for Neto, an undocumented worker in New York, a Dominican who wants to bring his wife and son to join him but needs more money for a visa than he can make as a butcher. Neto is also the lover of Adriana and surrogate father to her son Victor, whose birthday it is on the day Neto decides to go to the local drug lord to offer his services. The kingpin, Fat Pancho, is Victor’s biological father and Adriana’s former pusher. Neto is caught up in Fat Pancho’s desire for revenge. Will Neto follow through with this plan to deal drugs? And what will that mean for Adriana, who loves him? |
