Maggie Cramer lives alone in a backwoods cabin, clinging to the hope that she will once again see her loving husband, an avid hunter named Gordon. Years have passed since his mysterious disappearance, but nothing will deter Maggie from keeping the home fires burning. One sultry day, a young stranger (Louis Adams), wounded and wearing a familiar hunting jacket, trespasses on her property.
