A poor girl, who works in an orphanage, is in love with a medical student from a wealthy family. His mother, however, who is the president of the Board of Directors of the orphanage, after persistent efforts, keeps her away from him. The young student leaves for studies abroad, while Eleni quits her work and moves to an island along with her little brother. There, due to a tragic accident, she loses her eyesight but recovers it again after a delicate surgical operation performed by the “golden hands’ of her loved one, who has become a doctor. |
