Details:

Self Storage (the movie) is a short film about a normal guy of the ‘generation Y’ ilk. Like those of us who grew up in the 90’s, the main character, Jason, has been told that he’s a very special flower, and that the world is his oyster. Words like ‘security’ and ‘stability’ mean less to him than words like ‘fulfillment’ and ‘self-actualization.’ His attitude is typical of his generation’s movement upward on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. This film highlights a particular crisis in his life, cycling through boredom, disenchantment, panic, redemption, and finally, acceptance. Self Storage utilizes slyly comedic narrative style that serves to tell the complete story of Jason’s crisis, with a bit of a romantic surprise at the end to leave audiences satisfied.
