Details:

JAMAICA HOUSE, ‘the studio 54 of hip-hop’, was L.A.’s biggest club in the 90s, founded by four boyhood friends. The club was born out of the golden era of rap and reggae, surviving gangs, drugs, Rodney King and the L.A. Riots. This is also a coming of age story for its boyhood founders, and for hip-hop itself. The music changed from party and conscious rap, to gangsta-rap. The four friends also changed, struggling with fast money, fame, addiction, and their new behemoth size club. Vintage performances and interviews from TUPAC, THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G., RUN-DMC, THE ROOTS, and NWA highlight the film.
