Six months before the Wright Brothers made history by being the first to fly a plane, two Scottish brothers from a prominent Dundee family, James and Preston Watson, cut the rope to drop the weights that saw there very own powered plane take off over the fields of Errol in 1903. This film dramatizes that event through interviews of the Watson brothers and witnesses to the flight up to Preston’s death in 1915. While on a training mission during the Great War, the plane he was in exploded above Eastbourne. |
