With popular fiction, the characters involve ourselves. And what better place to place ourselves than in an urban drama where winners and losers are spread indiscriminately all over the landscape. Some are wearing badges. The rest are more discrete. With the right lighting, crime and passion take on an elemental hue that just might reflect the emotions that pulse through our brains late at night, after another drink, while trying to summon up the courage to go to bed anticipating another tedious work day.
