Big Shot is a film about Armando DeJesus, an eleven year old rapper who has gained notoriety for a video he posted on the Internet. He is bullied in school by the faculty and students alike, and decides he wants to change his reputation by performing a new rap in the school talent show. Big Shot speaks to the YouTube generation— it is a satirical comedy with a strong message of how painful bullying may be, especially in the Internet era. Armando’s story reminds us how important self-respect and following your passion is, regardless of how uncool it may make you. |
