The digitization of media presents an opportunity to interrogate and understand our culture by remixing its products. Examining the relationship between media, technology, culture and democracy through the lens of copyright law. This documentary employs and explores the fair use exception in copyright law, which allows creators to use copyrighted material without permission or payment. Whether this opportunity will be accepted as the healthy evolution of a tradition of free expression or rejected as a trespass upon private property is a question whose subtlety veils its significance.
