Inspired by a compelling true story, Lake City is the coming of age film about a young man named Aaron Court who finds himself growing up within the out-law motorcycle club culture of his father’s stripper bar. To the common observer, Lake City is a beautiful tourist destination showcasing some of the most beautiful lakes, wineries and ski hills the world has to offer. For others, the city has birthed a dark underside which acts as a haven for outlaw warfare. Upon inheriting his father’s strip club (Cheetah’s), Aaron finds himself unwillingly immersed in a power struggle over the city’s underworld, a world littered with extreme consequences. Caught between the pull of his childhood friends who have joined the local motorcycle gangs and a desire to live a normal life through a rekindled romance with his high school sweetheart, Aaron is thrust into a realm of violence fueled by criminal enterprise. With the memory of a departed father shepherding his emotions, Aaron must face the reality of his past and fight for control of his future as he navigates his way through a labyrinth of unwritten rules, loyalty, friendship and morality.
