1940, Beverly Hills, California. Detective Jake McLaurin is called to investigate the scene of a shooting. He arrives at the mansion only to find an abandoned baby crying in locked car outside. In a search for the car keys, he encounters Mrs. & Mr. Osbourne, the dazed hostess and her rich, philandering husband, which begins his search for the clues. Clues, to the shooting of young woman whose body we, and the butler, discover in a closet during the midst of a swank affair in full swing. Literally. Who’s each character who drops into the scene? Who’s the murderer? Whose baby? …And why does everyone at the party seem so… oblivious?
