Details:

A recent report from the Veterans Administration found that 22 veterans commit suicide every day. These veterans made it through basic training, combat, sometimes multiple combat tours and then returned home to lose their life to invisible wounds like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury or moral injury. These invisible wounds of war - wounds to the soul - are killing our veterans at an alarming rate. ‘Healing Soul Wounds’ is a short documentary written, produced, filmed and edited by artist and veteran wife, Sarah Dale. In this film, Sarah follows her husband, John Dale (U.S. Army National Guard (Retired)), as he tells his story of recovering from PTSD by finding hope, healing and purpose in life after combat through his work with the nonprofit REBOOT Combat Recovery.
