Details:

They both murdered in the name of their cause. And at one time, they would have killed each other. Now they work together producing a magazine about reconciliation. Tommy McKearney is an ex-IRA man and once fanatical Republican. He’s also a former life sentence prisoner. Billy Mitchell used to be in the UVF, and went to jail for murder. They disagree sometimes, but they don’t need guns to resolve their disputes now. In a special documentary about their lives, the BBC team took the two men back to Northern Ireland’s notorious Maze Prison where they served their sentences in separate wings of the “H Blocks’. They speak candidly about history, past regrets and how their highly unusual friendship developed.
