The Germans arrive in Kowel, Poland in June of 1941, and from that point on there is next to no escape for the Jewish people. We follow two young, Jewish girls desperate attempts to save family and each other in the midst of a hopeless situation. They find strength in each other and in those willing to risk all to save them. Yet in the end, we see that the ultimate sacrifice isn’t always enough to overcome evil. And that love can sometimes find its way across time. |
