OLD AGE IS NO PLACE FOR SISSIES illuminates some of the complex issues that the LGBT community face as they transition to their senior years. Activists from openhouse—an LGBT Senior Resource Center in San Francisco—share their stories of owning their identity and the struggles for inclusion. As this new chapter in their lives unfold, the struggles that many of these seniors faced during the early years of the LGBT movement, resurfaces as they navigate accessing senior services, or building a sense of community and visibility. The resiliency of this tenacious generation is revealed in their personal and inspirational stories.
