Details:

“A movement between the tranquility” The “Wie das Gefäß läuft es aus (It’s empty like the vessel)” is a ceremony for meditation to enter into Toa or Nirvana. This film/video was inspired by the 4th chapter - “The Tao is an empty vessel; …” of Toa Te Ching (by Lau-tzu). In this work, the culture of Eastern Asia will be interpreted newly in multimedia contents and in digital expression through immersed image and sound. Generally, a purpose of vessel put in something and it should be emptied itself. But if it is already fulled by something, it is not worth any more. It should be become every moment newly, otherwise some of the inside of vessel will be spoiled. Also, a man be born again every moment through this ceremony. When he is reached for a tranquil heart through the process, he will be recognized himself and attained Nirvana. The theme is “A movement between the tranquility”. The sound expresses the movement between the tranquility. Also, the image shows the tranquility in the movement. Finally, it shows the process of attaining the Toa (Nirvana) through the medium between the sound and image.
