The Road Runner Cartoon Shorts
Description:

The Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote are a duo of cartoon characters from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. In each episode, the cunning, insidious and constantly hungry Coyote repeatedly attempts to catch and subsequently eat the Road Runner, but is successful (in catching the Road Runner, not eating it) only on one occasion. Instead of his animal instincts, the Coyote uses absurdly complex contraptions (sometimes in the manner of Rube Goldberg) to try to catch his prey, which comically backfire, with the Coyote often getting injured in slapstick fashion. Many of the items for these contrivances are mail-ordered from a variety of companies that are all named Acme Corporation.

The Classic Road Runner series is broken into two parts:
~The 24 Classic era (1949-1964) were directed exclusively by Chuck Jones.
~The 16 DePatie-Freleng era (1965-1966) were directed by Chuck Jones (uncredited), Rudy Larriva, Friz Freleng, and Robert McKimson.

Chuck Jones directed 3 more Shorts from 1979 to 1994.

With CGI advancements, modern shorts were created from 2000 to 2014, which were directed by Spike Brandt, Bret Haaland, and Matthew O’Callaghan who did the last 4.
