As a teenager, Aksel Borgen was acquitted of the murder of his girlfriend, Karine. Despite the fact that he was not found guilty, everyone thinks he is and he is forced to flee his hometown. He will not return until 20 years later. His return reminds people of the horrific murder that was never solved, and Aksel realizes that he is not welcome in Lifjord. |
