This was dramatized earlier this year in the limited-run series “We Own This City.” I was happy to find this documentary, which is based on a book about Baltimore’s cop scandal. The authors participate here.
I just finished watching, and I have to say, the real story is even more hard-hitting than the dramatization, which is usually NOT the case at all! These cops were the uber-gangbangers, and they thought they were untouchable. They almost were! This tale is frightening, riveting, mind-blowing, and beggars belief - yet it’s all true. I’m glad I saw the TV series months back; things I recalled from it are included here and are made more shocking by the simple fact that the actual players and victims are present. Worth a watch!
