Bringing “Broadcast News” into the #metoo era, with a stellar cast and Mimi Leder (remember Deep Impact) directing some of the episodes - I am hooked from episode one.
OK … I am a sucker for media based stories (Network, Up Close and Personal and the incredible The Newsroom) and although this has more glam than grit, Jennifer Aniston works well as the co-anchor morning news presenter seeing her self being pushed out of the chair and decides it’s time to take control of the situation when her co-host is accused of … well you can imagine.
References to Weinstein and the old media guard plus dashes of humour make this a light, appetising starter but I will be hoping for a bit more meat and gristle when “Bombshell” hits the screens.
